I was driving home last night had cruise on and heard the ding from the dash and when I looked down there was no light on----------A few more miles and it did it again but I did catch a quick glimpse of where it was and it was either lamp out--------which there isnt----------or service 4x4-------I am not sure. I drove it this AM and nothing was on and no warnings.

I do have the P0602 code and I am not sure how long it has been there. Last week I did take my Quad box completly off for a couple days but it is on now and truck seems to run fine. How long till the code clears and is this code serious?

thanks

Mine did this, and I caught a glimps of the check gauges light... maybe a elec. surge or something, whateever is was that made the check gauges light flicker, it has not did it in like 2 years

Mine also did this twice on the same day with no warning light indications. I had the dealer check it out during last visit and no codes were present.

Since that day it has not happened again.

Mine does it every now and then. Sometimes while just starting to move the truck. Once it did it everytime the window switch was touched. No codes. I just think the truck wants to talk.

I think you guys are all talking "check gages". I think he has the lamp out phantom.

Are you sure this chime wasn't your power door locks engaging when the truck reaches a certain speed? Mine chimes when it locks, and hearing it while driving the first few times puzzled me until I realized what was causing it.

Lamp out Chime

Well Guys (and Gals) just drove 2,000 miles back to the Pacific Northwest (yes it's raining) Had the lamp out chime come on several times during the trip north. NO lights out. Truck is going into the dealership tomorrow :{ because I can no longer stand the chiming. Also the passenger side (front)window does not work :{ I'll take TSB 08-004-03 with me and we'll see what the dealership says.

The Lamp out chime would not be such a big pain in the ash if Dodge had given the driver a way to TURN IT OFF.

Naw Mike, it's not that. Mine has never chimed when the doors locked. It's some kind of weird glitch - chiming when it has nothing to chime about.

When it chimed when starting off, it did it as soon as the truck moved a foot. It only did this a couple times, then not again.

Oh, and it's not a check engine light flashing on and off thing either. That's another issue, but I leaned to ignor that long ago.

What did you find out... mind developed this problem on the way home. Very irritating.

Mine did this for almost a week. I thought it had something to do w/ the pup and all that. Then a back tail light went out  . Replaced it and it has never happened since. So I agree w. / J Hardwick.

are you sure you didn't just leave your turn signal on... that will give you a loud chime. Try and see if that was the same sound.

Lamp out Chime

Sorry for the delayed response. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July

The dealership replaced the left rear lamp power strip(?) I kinda figured that was the problem because I've had it apart before, reinserting the bulbs ALL THE WAY IN. On the trip North all the lights were operational but still chimed . Will have to air the rear tires up to 80# and put 70# in the air bags for a rough ride, see if the chime comes on now. TSB did not apply.

The front passenger window problem was a bad switch on the DRIVERS side door, the passenger window circuit goes through lock out of course.

Well the "lamp out" ding has come back and after doing a search and reading a few threads seems like guys were having a problem with the tail light circuit boards. Is this something fixed under warranty or is it a out of pocket expense? I have check all bulbs and none of mine are out.

Jim

I had no visible lights out and it drove me nuts until I read a thread on here a long time ago that pointed me in the direction of getting the circuit boards replaced. Hasn't happend since the replacement. They replaced both of my tail light circuits under warranty.

Its Not If The Bulbs Are Burnt, Its The Wire For The Connection On The Bulbs Themselves, The Wire Gets Worn From Vibration Then Momentarily Loses Contact Causing The Light, If Ther Is Any Sign Of Wear, Change The Bulbs, If There Is Not, Have Fun Searching, I-did

I do not have the extended warranty and I am wondering what the circuit boards would cost me? I already talked to the dealer and he suggested to go out and tap lighty on the bulbs to see if they short out--------mine seems to do it over bumps
