2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dash speakers

Is there provision for 3.5" dash speakers in the 2nd gen? I know there are dash speakers in later models, but can there possibly be "holes" underneath the existing dash to support these speakers?

I just replaced my dash and I don't see how you could put speakers in there. It's full of ducts, air bag, frame work, etc.
