I am going to be installing a few lighting accessories (once it gets warm) and want to mount the switches on the dash. I was thinking I can use the area below the 2/4 wheel drive knob, its just an empty box, opposite where the 110 socket is. Then I noticed that on the panel under the entertainment center where the seat heaters/traction control/steering wheel heater/exhaust brake/etc switches are I have a few blanks. Can you buy the switches that go into this panel? anyone know the part number from MOPAR?

Those switches are factory order and include the box under the hood with pigtails to tie into. I don't know if, or how easy it would be to add this after the fact. The switch bank that goes in the dash changes the configuration of the other switches that are there like the seat air switch disappears etc. I think it would be quite involved and even some computer set up changes.

From what I understand, you can't retrofit the Aux switches, especially if you have the Uconnect 5.0 or lower since the seat heaters and other things occupy the space where the aux switches would be. I was thinking of using the blank plastic panel below the headlight switch. Looks like a small cheap chunk of plastic that would be easy to replace if I ever wanted to trade in the truck. But then I notice that I occasionally hit the headlight switch with my knee, so it may not be such a good idea... Still looking for other simple solutions that others may have :).

Surface mount rocker switches with led indicator lights are the way to go...they often mount with a simple 1/2 dia. hole in the dash wherever YOU prefer to have them, though you do need to have spce behind them for the wiring and also should defintely wire them with a separate fuse/box and/or relay if necessary for the load you will be using them with.

I mounted mine (the first link below, but with using 3 differnet led colors) just beneath the oem headlight switch, though some people also make a switch panel from the unused center cubby below the A/C controls, if they have one. Here are some decent switches...also if you do a search you will find a few threads with pics, eihter here or on cumminsforum.
