Christine Neff was very helpful.
Teddy Renaud is who I am dealing with. Has been very straight shooter.
Les McDaniels who I used in '06(he's since moved on) told me 70% of DS business is out of state. My friend on the Big Island used them and even with dually oversized shipping beat anybody there. I had especially good luck with their service dept. All the accessories and services performed by them were done right.I think that is how they run their business, it's not a typical dealership (a good thing), they do a lot of out-of-town/state deals.

The only reason Dave smith sells the volume they do is because of price and bait and switch. Be damn careful when you spec the truck out that it actually has what you want. They are notorious for telling you the truck has "all mopar accessories", "limited slip", etc. I personally know of two individuals that flew down from Alaska, picked up a new truck there and by the time they got home they realized they had been had. Neither truck had anti-spin diffs, no winterization (they had been assured by the salesman that the trucks were fully winterized.....just a block heater and NO cord). Buyer beware. Stick with your local dealer if possible.
DS provided me a fax of everything on the truck and pricing before I agreed. Photos too.
The LA Times had an article on the high turnover of car salesman due to the low profit on new vehicles at the dealer level. The manufacturers are cleaning up on trucks. Used cars and trucks are frequently suggested as the profit's higher. Don't count on a knowledgeable salesperson. I was lucky. It's amazing how many people DON'T read the window sticker. All it takes to sour a buyer on a deal is a rotten salesman. People most certainly need to educate themselves prior to buying a truck from any dealer.
