the local stealership is telling folks that using an e-brake will void your warranty. hell,,,,,,in 99 the dodge brochure listed an e-brake as an option. this same dealer has installed hundreds of em. i realize they void warranty for an e-brake on an auto,,,,,,,,,,,but this is concerning a manual

has anyone else been told this

wouldn't think so, my 01 manual says one should be used when towing over 10,000!

i would call dc consumer relaytions and ask them to deal with their pos dealership!

Hmmm... our Jacobs e-brake carries a Mopar accessory part number, was listed on the 4adodge "Build Your Truck" dealer installed option list, was installed by my dealer at time of delivery and therefore is covered by the Dodge factory warranty, etc. I think I'd find another dealer.

MUST BE A FIVE SCAR DEALER . I you have one on a auto transmission equipped Cummins no warranty regardless who installed it or if it is a Dodge/Cummins exhaust brake or any other non D/C exhaust brake . If you have other make exhaust brake or D/C on a standard shift no warranty conflict , EXHAUST BRAKE IS AUTHORIZED AND ADVISED FOR TOWING OVER 10000 lbs Lack of knowledge is sometime covered by BS Ron Bissett in LOUISVILLE KY :-{} :--) :D
