I got my DD II injectors installed on Thursday night. It took all of about 3 hours for a first time injector replacement, not bad. The increase in power is great. I used to drive with the comp on 3x3 all the time. Now with the new injectors, I can leave the comp off for about the same feel. However, it is hard to resist turning the box on for a little fun :D I know, I know, the clutch is next on the list. BTW, has anyone ever gotten to the end of "the list" !!!

Here's my question: even after about 25 starts, and about 300 miles of driving so far, if the truck sits for 20 min or more, it takes long cranking and throttle input to get it started? Did I not get some connections tight enough and air is leaking back into the lines? Or does it take a week or so to get all the air out of the system?

FYI, I cycled the lift pump 4 times after the injector replacement, and then started it with some throttle input (took maybe 10 secs). In ran rough for about a minute, but then all was fine.

It has taken that long before to work air out of my lines. Make sure your fuel tubes are seated and the nuts are torqued. Also, make sure the injector hold downs were not overtorqued. That could cause this.

I usually give it about 5 days before I redo the install, depending on how much it is driven. It is amazing how long air can stay trapped in there.

Thanks again Kelly...

Well, I'll re-torque the lines and wait a few days to see if the air finds its way out. Thanks for the advice.

Now, back to assembling my biodiesel 'appleseed processor' ;)

Just A thought, Did you disconnect the batterys when installing the injectors, If so did you reset the apps. maby the computer is confused with the throttle posisition. Good luck

Well, after 4 days of long starts when sitting for a while, it's back to normal now. I guess it just took a while to get the air out :)

Very satisifed with the DDII's BTW Oo. Oo. Oo.
