Well, I just got the DDIII's in

It took about 2. 5 hours and this is my first time. I think it helped alot getting info from the group about how to do it.
I only took the truck for a short run of about 15 miles and I'm Impressed! Seat of the pants say that with the PM3 on 0 it feels like its on 5 without the taper off at 2700 rpm like before with just the PM3. The throttle seems more responsive everywhere because the injectors don't wait for boost like the PM3. Tomorrow I'll mess with it and let everyone know.
As for the installation, it was pretty straight forward except for injector removal. Mine were IN there. I did the "bolt pry on the rocker thing" and found that the valve springs would compress and I managed to get three of them out like that with only one bloody knuckle. Then I figured when I couldn't get the other ones out that I would put a washer under the head of the bolt and get a 27mm box end under the washer and get more leverage. This worked for the rest except for #4. No matter what I did it didn't want to come out. So I thought about the picture of the injector puller in the manual and decided to use a Craftsman 27mm deepwell socket and drop the short intake horn bolt into and wind it down. Well, it came out easier than you could believe

If only I could of thought of this about 5 injectors ago I would have more electrical tape (my bandage). Just thought I would let everyone know how it went.
BTW I'll try the cruise tomorrow (what the thread is about

) and let you know what's up.
Morphious, I have 3:54's also but with 35's an maybe that's why I have my problem (takes more umph to accelerate the 35's).
MikeR, I'm kinda old school (started bombing in 98 with TST since nobody had anything for the 24V, and TST is great to deal with), but what does the Edge do for ya?? Just kinda curious how it works with the PM3 (which I'll never get rid of) and the benefits.
I need to get a HX-40 and exhaust next once I save the money for it.
Hey, anyone want to pitch in for the "Tommy needs a 40 fund?" (no not a Old English 40 ouncer

)
Just thought I would try.
Take care all.
Tom
