Pulled the 370s, and got the new injectors in last night. :D Only driven about 60 miles so far, but I'm VERY impressed with them. Great power, and considerably cleaner than the 370s. White haze at idle is gone. Unless I lug the engine, or plant to go pedal off the line, the smoke is minimal, other-wise, I can still black out both lanes. :D

Before advancing my timing (and with the 370s), I was seeing 45# boost and up to 1400* pre-turbo, even empty. Advancing the timing reduces peak boost and lowers EGTs. Now, so far with the DDP4s, I've seen a max of 40# amd 1200*, with more power. :D :cool:

I'd say 370s are cheap power for the money, but if you can swing a set of extrude honed or EDM injectors, you will be better off. More power, less heat, and less smoke.

We'll see what the mileage does now. :)

Bryan,

You will love those injectors as I do. Oo.

When I first put them in, I couldn't believe the cleaner running exhaust. :confused:

But the power they make really brings that 12er alive. :-laf

we better get started on the next project real soon---- :-{}

Before it goes south----- :{

Enjoy the day-----

Wayne, you aren't kidding. They are GREAT! :D I'm only hitting 40 psi tops now, since we did the timing and with the new sticks. No 45 psi now. The HG ought to live a little longer, I hope. Unless it blows, it will be a summer project.

thinking about getting some dd4's what is your timing now set at tia

Wayne and I set it at 16* a few weeks ago.

my wg was set to 40 psi too. last really hard run i gave it i saw 48! smoke when you want it, clean when you need it.

They are great aren't they!

I'm surprised your EGT's are so low. .

My delivery valves must be the difference. . I can peg the Pyro with the Sled Puller 66!

I'm running 17. 5 Degrees of timing with the 100 plate full forward... Of course you know my headgasket let loose. . But I'm putting down 485HP Oo.

The are GREAT! :D Oo. Oo. I suppose the EGTs may go higher, but they they never got any higher, on up to 75-80mph. :D I'm sure they'd go higher with a trailer in tow. Or if the air temp was higher. lol Was only 40* out.

Your DV are probably a fair amount bigger than mine. Plus, I haven't turned my plate into a 100 plate. Won't be, since I tow.

Dave's transmissions are great, too. :D I think I should've gone with some billet shafts, though. lol

These #4 are soooo nice, :D

I put in 191's to help them along, ;)

the EGT's only jump to 1300, :cool:

I thought with the 17* , they would be higher, :p

Maybe the HTTB2 blows enough to put out some fire, :rolleyes:

I'm thinking of going with a manifold change or just kick that bad boy up to 50lbs. of boost, :--)

But the joy of daily driving is where the 4's really shine. Oo.

Ddp's?

Is the spray pattern on these DDP stage 4's hitting the bowl on the piston correctly, unlike the 370's that are designed for the marine piston?

I'm starting to hear those damn voice's in my head again :-laf The addiction never really ends :eek:

Yes, the spray pattern is correct.

These injectors don't haze like crazy at idle in the cold weather either, they burn pretty darn clean.

What timing are you running at? I have a guess looking at your piston pics.

Put mine in this weekend, so I haven't had much of a chance to drive it, yet. But my neighbor liked the burnout I did through 2nd and 3rd gear in front of his house. :D

Im glad to here you guys like the DDP injectors I have them in my rig and they work great. If I need any different setup Lenny and the guys at DDP are on top of things and getting them done. Thanks again DDP :D
