when i was running the 370's i was getting 15. 5 tops did the same run same place i fuel up same amount of fuel in take cause it was running over both times with the ddp4's i got 18. 1 and i am running 4:10 ratio this is hand calucated and yes i am very pleased with them :)

just a note i was driving 65 both times with the cruse set

DDP Stage 4s are in

JHastings,

I get 17-18 1/2 mpg. :D

Of course, if I keep my size 12 out of the fan blade. :-laf

Thats pretty good. Has anybody had any experience with the DDP2's or DDP3's? I wonder if they yield better mileage. I think DDP4's are too much fuel and too much $$ for me, but the 2's are in my range I think.

I can't say on the mileage. My flatbed is a real problem to get any consistantancy when filling up to about the same amount. Seems to be a tad better than with the 370s, but Wayne and I also bumped the timing about a week or two after the inj swap. So, I really can't say.

I'm getting better mileage with ddp2's. Not a lot 1 or 1. 5 mpgs. The truck runs lots smoother, and a lot less smoke. But to contradict myself, It seems I get a more soot stains on my trailer.

I ran the DDP3's for a while with the stock turbo. An awesome all around injector and very clean, if driven easy 20 mpg no problem. I am running 4's now with DDP's towing turbo and still get close to 20. Don't get me wrong if driven hard you won't see those numbers. I was able to get 12. 6 towing a 36' 11K fifth wheel with the 4's. Good people at Dynomite Diesel Performance.

They even forgave me for buying a Duramaxiepad  ( wifes truck) It's a nice truck but the old 12V will out pull it all day long.

They are great aren't they!

I'm surprised your EGT's are so low. .

My delivery valves must be the difference. . I can peg the Pyro with the Sled Puller 66!

I'm running 17. 5 Degrees of timing with the 100 plate full forward... Of course you know my headgasket let loose. . But I'm putting down 485HP Oo.

Now you know he doesn't have your little pump tricks done :)

What does the exhaust look like while towing with either the DDP3's or 4's. My current injectors are NOT extrude hone and from what I understand they are suppose to be 110hp.

Would like to look into something a little cleaner if that is possible. .

If you have enough air, the DDP4 are pretty clean. They smoke less than the 370s I had, cruising.

EDM injectors would be the cleanest.

Wow!

Just got a killer deal on a brand new set of Dynomite Diesel Stage 4 injectors for a 12 Valve from Big Bad Dodge. The were in the TDR classifides.

I was running DD III's.

The DDP 4's idle seem like they idle 40% smoother than DD III's.

The engine is 25% quieter w/ DDP 4's.

The throttle response is much improved over DD III's. This is w/ valet switch on.

The DDP 4's burn clean. I cant believe how much cleaner they are over the Diesel Dynamics. From idle to redline. These have 50 more HP then the DD III's.

I have not ran the truck long enough to get a mpg comparison. A tank lasts a month.

I drive like an old lady, so I don't have any max EGT or boost comparisons.

Dynomite Diesel injectors are a Strong buy in my book.

What would be the best setup for my 97 when it comes to towing?

I have the old 370's with PDR HX40 and would like something cleaner.

Would DDP3 keep the temps down better than DDP4's?

Time to do a little updating on the old truck since my "new truck" bug has gone based on all the computer problems and DPF problems.

DDP Stage 4s are in

Hemi@Dart,

Just be careful that you don't throw in those 191's with those 4's.

You may have to put extra lights on the back for people to see thru the smoke. Oo.

Been there, done that. You can definitely make daytime turn into nighttime with DDP4's and laser cuts. The nice thing is, it's all controllable from your foot.

PRattenbury,

cahammer,

Total eclipse of the sun is more like it------:p

Especially at low boost-------:-laf

The EGTs I had with the 370s is about what I have with the DDP4s.

Have you advanced the timing yet? Wayne and I did mine, and the EGTs came down 150*. 14* stock. 16. 2 now.

A better turbo would help, too. I didn't have enough air with the PDR 40 towing. Haven't had a chance to tow at highway speeds with the new turbo, but at low speeds towing 12-15k, I don't have any EGT issues as long as the engine doesn't get lugged at low RPMs.
