De-badging '03's?

Hey all,



Just want to make sure the Ram 2500 and all the stuff on the tailgate is taken off on the 03's the same way (w/ fishing line to cut the tape then whatever you like to get rid of the sticky) it is off the 2nd gens. Buddy wants to debadge his '03, except for the CTD badges up front (of course!).

As a caution the new truck's dent easily... or so I'm told. I asked the dealer to debadge mine before I picked it up. I came in to find 25 small dents on the truck They claimed to have heated up the glue and used fishing line but I did not see them do it of course. Needless to say I would not buy it after that and still do not have a truck of my own over a month later. I have had quite possibly the longest test drive of an 03 though with 3K and counting on their demo

Did mine a month ago.

Of course it was 110 degrees outside and the badges came off pretty easy. It took me 3 days to remove all of the sticky tape and residue. Just take your time. I did not dent anything when I removed mine.



Make sure you wax the truck after you use solvents to remove the tape residue.

Fishing line and a vinyl eraser wheel from www.eastwoodco.com did it for me. I tried with solvents and gave up. The wheel took it right off.

Use peanut butter, it'll get the stuff off! (No Lie!)
