Yesterday I was headed on a errand to middle Georgia when I passed a stopped 250 painted up exactly like my 350. The owner was a few yards away looking somewhat dissmayed. I guess it was the color since I don't always stop, even for Dodges, but I did. (I generally think that like myself, they have to get out and stretch from the stiff ride and long miles. ) A few quick questions and it was clearly the fuel solonoid not getting voltage. I have some wrenches but so did he. Used his fold up pliers and pressed the connector a bit and reinstalled whereupon on the next crank, the mighty cummins sprang into life. A few questions about one another and he went on his way with a smile. He was headed for Statesboro. Of course I told him about TDR and wrote it down for him. Gave him a quick run down on the common problems. Told him that his paint would fall off. (Showed him mine). He offered pay, I said help someone else.
So, how the heck do folks talk themselves into paying the price for a 15 year old truck (his was very clean and low miles) when they don't know about TDR and the problems that have already been solved a thousand times here.

PS
In case you don't recognize the core message, this is a reminder that there are still a whole lot of first gen owners that never heard of TDR. While I don't post as often as I have previously, I still try to let folks know about the help that is available here.
