i been having trouble with a dead pedal it would happen 3 or 4 times a year yesterday morning it was cold and it happen again and to get it to run right i turned off the edge comp. and seem to run ok before when it would do it it would just kind of stumble or do it for just a moment and go on and be ok i am getting o216,0500 code i was on blue chip diesel web site he said the 216 code is a bad computer on injection pump and it can throw the 216 code when it gets hot or cold i have read that edge stuff can go bad and have problems i was wondering if any body out there have had this kind of problems

i might would add i have 15 to 20 psi of fuel pressure at idle 10+ at wot been diving it this morning with the edge on and running fine the question i have is is it the IP or edge that going bad

On my unmodified 99 I had what sounds similiar. Every now and again engine would drop back to idle regardless of pedal position. Would take my foot off and then it would recover. Check engine light would then be on for a few starts and it might not happen again for quite a while. It turned out to be the throttle position sensor, I think they called it the APPPS ?. Its been a while

thanks guys for the response like said earlier been driving it today with the edge on never missed a beat pulling my skid steer it just seems like when it acted up yesterday when i turned the edge off it ran fine what would chance be that since edge does a lot with timing that the edge is going bad and wont advance the timing in IP like it is suppose to so it throws p0216 code
