Ok, This one has got me stumped, Truck was running fine, then no power, engine still running, seems to do this around 1800 to 2000 rpms then it comes back. Did this a bunch of times today, settings on the Edge did not matter. Steady 16 PSI of fuel pressure at the injection pump. VP44 replaced about 10k miles ago. I did run codes none to be found using a scan tool. I disconnected the batteries and reset/trained the APPS. So far everything seems fine so whats up anyone got a clue?

Thanks

Kyle

Mechanically, make sure of the basics first, filter clean, supply pump pressure above 6psi, overflow valve on the return side of the VP44 holding proper pressure in the pump. Check all ground wires to the body/frame for good connection, recheck the connector to the VP44, clean all connections with a good contact cleaner, and reconnect the ones to the body/frame with a dielectric grease. Just an intermittent slight voltage drop across a circuit can drive you crazy... If this doesn't cure it, it may take a few times for a fault to occur before it gets recorded as a fault code in the computer...

Sounds like an APPS going south.

Fought mine for 3 years before it went TU, then it finally decided to throw a code.

I went all the way to Milwaukee by way of truck shop last year. New APPS less then a year before that. So I never figured that was it. If the APPS voltage doesn't go below idle voltage, but it doesn't work, you might not see a code. The ECM will just think that it is still at idle.
