I feel for you, believe me I really do... ... But you clearly violated your warranty. I do not know you, nor have I ever meet you, but there are always two sides to every story, we are only exposed to your side of the story. You had a "Torque Locker in the truck for awhile", how long was awhile? Just prior too showing up at the dealer?? I don't know, you tell me. I get the feeling you might have not been totally up front with the dealer? Again I don't know, but something stinks. Your truck only has 14,000 miles on it which is good, it is still very new. But it is truly your truck now, a new truck with no warranty. I hate these types of post, people are just plain stupid sometimes. If you would read the TDR, and read the post most people write about, you can not go very far before you read the part about being your own warranty station. This is something that has been drilled into everyones head from almost day one. You bought it, you agreed to abide by there terms. Then you cry when something goes wrong and they refuse to fix it. Like I said I do not know you or your particular case, but your post is so typical it real does not matter who you are or what went wrong. This type of behavior is sickening, and if I was Dodge, Ford, or Chevy (it real doesn't matter what make) i would refuse to fix your screw-up too. I can not think of one good reason why they (Dodge) should work fro free on anyones truck that has violated the terms of there warranty, no one. I think most level-headed people would see things the same way, and take that into account before they do anything to jeopardies their new truck warranty. Yes Dodge does give the average truck owner a little leave way with the warranty, this is subject to local interpretation at the dealer level. Some dealers are known for there rather long leave-way and others are know for their rather shot leave-way, this is too be expected. Kind of like Refereeing, some call ticky tack fouls and others let things go. But as a consumer, and most important a truck owner, you should not expect that your local dealer will bend the rules in your favor, especially if you are anything less then honest with them.
I am sorry you now have a new truck with no warranty, but I do not feel sorry for you. The terms and conditions of your trucks warranty were clearly laid before you, just like anyone else that purchases a new vehicle. And you belong to an organization that continually preaches the "I am my own warranty station" slogan. yet with all this, you willfully altered the vehicle and in-affect violated the terms of that warranty. Now you are crying foul play . For you it is too late, but for other out their how might be tempted to modify their trucks in a way that would put their warranty at risk, I say to you "Is it worth it"? Way to many make such modifications claiming they know about the warranty and even claim they will take responsibility for their actions should the need arise. This all sounds good, till that day comes and you are in fact asked to take full responsibility for your actions. What will you do?? Be a man and except what the dealer comes up with?? Or post on this web site about how you just got screwed?? Think about it.
