Larry Miller in Surprise service advisors were complete and rude AH's the last time I was there. I would not buy a bottle of water from them in the middle of the desert. Don't know about sales.

I would not go so far as to defend them as I have only interacted a few times but they were always helpful and professional. Sales is Sales. Got a good deal on my 3500 but I think only because they really wanted my trade in.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this thread. Didn't leave for home till march 31 and came home to a fire in the shop at work ( alot of rubber soot). Had to empty the shop completely, and take the tool box home to completely disassemble and clean tools and all. Ended up at Chapman Dodge Spoke with the service writer. And low and behold he spoke mechanic. I just relayed what the symptoms were and what i believed it was doing . Dropped it off and A few days later got a call. Couldn't exactly find anything in particular but applied to updates.

Truck runs much better feels like it did when it was new.
When i asked the service writer if the tech saw anything else that may need attention
He said the tech recommended cleaning the egr system.
He did not push me for them to do the work , but something i could do myself.
All in all it was a good dealership visit. And would recommend them if you are ever in need in Scottsdale.

@BigUglyRacing, Glad they got it figured out for you! As far as the EGR cleaning, it's a pretty simple tasks with basic tools. The kit from Genos, https://www.genosgarage.com/product...rankcase-filter-egrkit1/crankcase-vent-filter , makes it easy. Just have some Purple Power or Simple Green to clean cooler and valve.

Yeah, I already had an inkling the egr system would need a cleaning based on the amount of soot contamination i had been seeing on the map sensor. actually doesn't look any worse than changing injectors lol . Should be pretty simple. Plus it gives me a reason to pick up one of the vacuum style coolant refill tools. Wanted one for work.

I was curious about the tcm reflash. Both the age and I didn't really have any transmission issues. But either way it feels good. It does shift slightly different now both in th mode and regular.
