Looking for the best dealer to use in the area of spokane/Couer D' Alene. I am somewhat new to the are and have not used ant of the local dealers for repairs yet. I am closest to Dishman Dodge, but would be willing to go further, if they are no good.

I haven't heard much about Dishman Dodge, Dave Smith is in Kellog Idaho which is about an hour away from Downtown Spokane. There is a small shop called Dave's Diesel which is supposed to be good. Good luck.

I had a customer who just had some work done at Dave's Diesel... he was very upset with the cost of the repair and what he felt was overselling... but I have no personal experience... .

I own several trucks which we take care of our selves. . I've only had warranty work done at Dishman & Dave Smith and was happy with that... In each case they kept the truck at least twice as long as they promised but in each case the job was done... didn't have to go back and since it was warranty it was free. .

With our trucks, we give them simple maintenance, watch them and repair whats needed... to date it hasn't been much... .

I took a car to Dishman Dodge a few years ago and they were as incompetent as anyone I've ever had to deal with. I have never been back and doubt I ever will.

I recently had some work done at Spokane Chrysler. They don't sell trucks, but do have a Diesel shop. I've been satisfied with the work I've had done there.

I've been to Tom Addis in CDA a couple times because i thought a Dodge dealer may have more experiance with trucks than Spokane Chrysler. My opinion is they are as good as, but no better than Spokane Chrysler.

Dave Smith has a dealership in CDA now, but they don't do warranty work there.

I bought my truck from Save Smith in Kellogg. I had their performance shop put some ATS parts in my transmission, and took it back about 80,000 miles later when the transmission case was cracked. If I remember correctly, the guy running the shop is named James, He is a very knowledgeable and customer oriented guy. Other than that, I haven't seen the reason to drive the extra miles for any repair.

Well, I did end up taking my rig to Tom Addis. I was pretty happy with the service, until I fired it up and went down the road. The belt was squealing something fierce. After getting about a mile away, I turned around as it hadn't quit. Pulled into the service bay and popped the hood, after revving the engine a few times for the Service Advisor. Found the banjo bolt on the top of the just replaced cp3 was wet with fuel. Hmmm? The service Advisor called the tech to take it back and take care of it. !0 minutes later it was pulled around, and magically was ok and the banjo bolt was found to be tight and couldn't have been where the fuel was getting onto the serpentine belt. I just hate having other people work on my stuff. Could have been worse

Dishman used to have a mechanic named Russ... I think, he was touted as being very capable with our diesels, I never have had any engine work done there. You could call Josh Ulrich, he runs Dishman's Accessory Dept and is also a member on this board, he is a stand up person and could probably steer you in a safe direction.
