My Trac Bar and Steering Box were both replaced under warranty at about 30K. I never had DW but steering seemed pretty loose. No problems since. I'm at 57K now. Next on the list is ball joints.

Well I am glad I still had some warranty left on my '07. The dealer had to replace both the lower and upper ball joints , all tierod ends, both hub assemblies and the steering dampner. The total bill was over $2900. 00:eek:, and I only had to pay $134. 00. The steering dampner was not covered.

At 17k I had a gearbox replaced, about 2k miles later it started with the death wobble. Bolt on the track bar came loose. Dealer replaced the bar anyway. Check the bolt on the axle side, get a good sized 1/2 ratchet or impact on it, any loosness at all and it can cause that bushing to flex and cause death wobble.

I had my first "Death Wobble" yesterday, actually it did it 3 times in about 100 miles. I thought I was going die the second time, I was on a bridge and about hit an 18 wheeler. I had to slow to about 20mph to get it to stop. It was VIOLENT.

I had a 2wd chevy truck that did it about 20 years ago, shocks fixed it.

This truck has ~24k miles on it and a leveling kit. When I put the leveling kit on ~10k miles ago, I noticed the shocks felt different, It's like they're extended too far and "out of their operating range".

I'm going to order some longer shocks and a dual stabilizer...
... Transmission is going out too... I love this truck
