Mark,
I guess I'm one of those lemmings. The way I see it, if someone comes onto my property, I have a right to (for instance) ask that they not smoke in my house. Is smoking legal? Yes. Am I infringing on their rights? Perhaps. Am I exercising my own rights regarding what takes place on my property? Most assuredly. If the individual disagrees strongly with my request (read that as "requirement" if you wish), does he have a choice? Certainly - he/she doesn't have to come onto my property.
How does this differ from my place of employment? I'm coming onto another man's turf, and he's paying me for my services. Does he have a right to make his buildings non-smoking? Yes. Does he have a right to forbid liquor consumption during working hours? Yes. Does he have a right to enforce a dress code for his employees? Yes. Why, then, is it unreasonable for him to forbid firearms on his property? Personally, as a gun owner, I really don't get all hot and sweaty over this requirement.
