Traitors?

Two big differences with Jane and the congressmen. One :we were at war (Or police action)with N. Vietnam and had troops in jeopardy. Two: she was out on a personal adgenda designed only to belittle the American political stance. From what I have heard from different sources the note passing story was fabricated. That still does not change my opinion of the $#@t. She should have had her passport pulled and not allowed back into the USA. Ever.

The congressmen over there are not endangering anyones lives but there own. They are not siding with the enemy, they are fact finding. If I was to make a decision on giving a President powers of war, I would definitly want to look at both sides of the coin. Subvert? No, I don't think so, if anyone is subverted its the President, using war for a political fund raising campaign. We can all follow the pres like nice little sheep now... .

The Jane Fonda note story is false. See http://www.anusha.com/janespam.htm

However there is a picture I have seen of her manning a North Vietnamise anti-aircraft gun and that is more than enough proof to me that she is guilty of treason.

The two maggots that went to Iraq are just guilty of stupidity, a trait most politicians of either party seem to be afflicted with.

Three thousand people died a year ago from terrorists. I think Bush is trying to do the right thing to work an extremely complicated problem. I don't agree yet that he has a case for war with Iraq but at least he is trying to make that case. This is SERIOUS bususness yet some Democratic leaders are taking cheap political shots.

In contrast Bill Clinton got a pass from the same leaders when he bombed an asprin factory to divert attention from his oval office b**w job.

Who was it that allowed the sale of anthrax to Iraq twenty years ago? Boy that was pretty stupid too. I don't remember who was in office then. Did Iraq purchase anything else from us back then? Boy my memory is failing me. I must be too focused on the Clinton years to remember anything else.

Steve M. Probably.

I dont think it was the president, 23 years ago, that was in charge of overseeing the sale of biological agents to scientists around the world. The laboratories went by the current laws at the time, and required documentation of research involving those agents. It was a problem that had been around for more than 50 years. It wasnt until recently that laws were passed to prohibit export of biological agents that could be used for war. Also the denial of certain chemicals and biological agents to certain countries and groups labeled as potentialy dangerous.

If you was to start the mud slinging, then please Steve M, refresh our memories on who allowed the sale of Guidance systems for their ICBM missles. This allowed the Chinese to step up their Nuclear missle systems by 20 years. He did this even after being warned not to. All for the sake of making a name for himself.

BTW, what's Janet Reno been up to lately? How about Al Gore?

Haskel, I don't defend Clinton, Al Gore or Janet Reno. Why do you still think I do? I don't defend any of them. I call it as I see it without preference to either party. They're all scum.

Lets just bring the assassination law back in and take Saddam out and call it a day. Save our country serious $$$$$$$ and lives. But I am all for remove of this guy no matter what it takes. Its a matter of time before he strikes us first, why cant people see this? We knew this about Bin Laden but we sit around and wait until a bunch of Americans get killed and then we go blow up some country's with full warning to them and even cease fires so they can run and hide. Its ridicules. We always have to be politically correct to the world, which is BS. Its not like were out to conquer country's if that was the case we would have half the world already. I am tired of us "bailing" all these other countries out of trouble and spending billions of dollars and not getting any support or appreciation. Anyway I will stop now... ... ... ...

Since Saddam supposedly has a bunch of doubles how about we just send our own clone over there to take his place instead of a bullet? They can just duke it out over who's the real Saddam. Of course our Saddam would win since he's also an ex-Seal. What an excellent way to take over a country and change it's government, even the citizens wouldn't know it happened.

Ahhhh, help me I can't stop myself. I was not gonna get into this, but one of those statements that Patriot said was just a little to much for me. You may not be defending her but what hanoi jane did was not a stupid kid or childish thing! She was full cognizant of what she was doing. She went to a country that was an enemy (or diametricaly opposed for those sensitive types) and aided their efforts against the the American military, individual fighting men and cost Americans held prisoner their lives. She is a traitor plain and simple.

Well like I said, that was wayyy before my time. Guess I used a poor example. :( It's not an apples to apples comparison. My bad.

BTW I agree, what she did was a treasonous(sp?) offence.

Dan, I agree with your assessment concerning the two congressmen. Am I surprised or shocked? Not in the least. However, I do believe the party is hurting the image of the JackAss.
