This event will be at the end of May Madness week, and we will try to work it so folks can attend what they need to out of both events. Richard Madsen has a portable Dynojet now, and plans to bring it to May Madness so we won't have to go into Vegas to dyno.

I see May Madness being for the RV crowd and the Pullers, Drag Racers and big Dyno guys going for this event. I don't know many people that can hang around for a week to do both events. My vote would be David's event! Lets have Richard drag his dyno down and set it up at the track so we can have an event like IRP.

Ok, first thing, lets try not to name this David's event. It's ok to say it's the DHRA Vegas Nationals, really it is. Or if you guys want to come up with a cool name for it, lets get that started. Ideas?



May Madness is a long standing event and the date we were given by Las Vegas Motor Speedway was this one. I view this as a great opportunity for everyone to have a fun 5 days in Vegas centered around diesel trucks, competition and friendships. And it will provide a great value to the ever important companies that support these events to travel one time to Vegas and hit two events. I'm thinking already I will bring my family out for the week (vacation) and enjoy the sights and sounds of Vegas since Penny has never been.



As far as I know now, Maddog Motorsports will have the dyno at both events. My dyno will not be there (it exceeded baggage weight limits for Delta) :-laf



Glad to hear positive comments so far too. This is our first response to those that have asked to bring a National event out west. This would be step one.

It would be easier to make it a family event if it wasn't scheduled while the kids are in school!



School is typically out mid to end of May (sometimes even first week in June).



I've been wanting to get to May Madness for YEARS and plans ends up collapsing because of school events. Hopefully this isn't the week of my oldest son's college graduation or this one will fall through too.



I think the first week in May is a-ok when the target audience is retired RVers -- but it's going to be tough to make this a dual event if part of the target audience is families.



That said --

Yes you can be sure we will be there. Sounds like a very good 5 days and well spent. Maddog's dyno is almost new and would a good addition to both events. Las Vegas Speedway is a very good track and they keep it in top notch shape. There is plenty of area to stage a pulling event also. Should be FUN! See you there. Thanks, Brady

Rick, you are easily close enough to make a 3 day weekend out of it. That can't be too hard on the school stuff. But trust me, I hear you, I've got threee of the little critters and the scheduling is tough - But a DHRA National in Vegas, that is a no miss for us on the west coast. That is also a perfect time of year for weather out there.

The wife and I are headed to Washington to look at some property in June. . so I need to save as much vacation as I can.

No Diesel Roundup this year Joe due to issues with the venue as well as some personal stuff. Who knows, maybe sometime down the road we will try again, but its hard to say, especially if we lose LACR.
