What a weekend!
I got there Friday am, track looked nice and tacky. Then it rained all night, and mucked it up. Somehow, we managed to get the qualifying in, with minimal damage to the trucks and sled from track conditions. It took almost as long to run 38 trucks as it did 75 at TiM, or Scheids. I apologize to the pullers and the fans for the track conditions and promise to do everything I can to prevent it in the future.
Sunday finals the track came around, with hard work from Kyle Jackson and Roger Lowry. The sled actually was on TOP of the track, instead of into it.
I lead off the street class with a nice hook at 257. Roderick Korty promptly took the lead from me with 260. That truck, on a tighter track, is capable of much more, keep an eye on him this year.
Tomac in his Chevy tried to bump me out of 2nd, but came up about 3 feet short.
Thats far enough, Tomac. ( On a side note, if a Duramax pulls up next to you, with an ATS decal, you had better have at least 500 HP, or plan on being embarrassed, BAD.

)
Super Street class, was highlighted with HOT engines, and paint jobs. Dave Radzierez, decided he could pull at least once with a broken head stud, right? I told him, yes of course, it should live one pull. (well it made it 20 feet before it puked its guts out, eh?)
Mod class, my, my, my. :--)
They... need... . more... . track!!!!
Oh yes, and our hero, the Missouri Madman hisself, Ray Gullet, who I predicted I would put 50 feet on, made me into a liar. It turnd out to be 239 feet, to be exact. 17'-11", was his finals pull. Sigh. I think he put his clutch in backards or something. As always, he leaves the track with a smile, and a friendly wave to me... :-laf
Ray did help us in locating someone who could find us a better roller, so thanks goes to him, and Chad, Jeff, Jeremy, Dan and any other Missouri pullers, who helped us out, both days. And Chads sister who manned the roller on Saturday, excellent job! She couldn't do it Sunday, so we drafted csevers, (who ran parts out from Ohio, for Drew, who broke in qualifying, whut a buddy!) but he didn't look quite as good as she did in the DHRA shirt.
And a really big thanks goes out to Diesel Power products, makers of Diesel Power Performance Improver & Cetane Booster. They made the DHRA Sled Pulling Series possible, and Brad Ekstam of DPP,
www.dieselpp.com, home of the F. A. S. S who made the Missouri pull possible.
Don't miss the next DHRA Diesel Power sled pull, at Mooreland, Indiana. May 28th.
