In looking at a used 2004 (built Oct 2003) 2500... I noticed a switch down low on the center of the dash area. The switch said "Predator" and was like a toggle switch. It had 3 switchable settings I believe. One said stock, the other said performance... and perhaps one said towing. I can't remember exactly.

Would this have been a Diablo Sport older module? Would such a module been capable of causing any real engine wear/damage to worry about? I know there are tons of factors in this question... but I didn't want to buy an unknown problem without asking at least.

The truck had no other modifications at all. Just a camper shell. Everything else was stock. I figured it was owned by a guy who just added this for more "power" and didn't pay any other attention to transmission or gauge add-ons.

I looked on the DiabloSport site and only see handheld programmers and the powerpuc. None really look like what I'm seeing.

Scratch that... it looks like the PowerPuck does have the 3 position switch. My bad on not seeing that on their website.

Was this something that should have been used with gauges then? I'm no expert on electronic enhancements. I drive a 91 CTD... lol.

I believe there is another company with a pressure box called predator with a switch. A buddy had one and it fried his injectors with too much pressure.

I checked it out and Dr. Performance made a pressure box called a predator that was out a few years ago. They may have changed the name because of Diablosport. In issue 48 Doug Leno had an arcticle on various power enhancements for the '03-'04 trucks. The truck may be fine or may need injectors. That would be the biggest thing that would have been hurt. If the owner never used full power much maybe the rail pressure was never too high for very long.

Thanks. You may be right. It might not be DiabloSport PowerPuck... because I remember the switch in question had names for the positions whereas DiabloSport had number settings. This also had a bracket with the names of power levels labeled onto it. Kinda like what Dr Performance has now. I think I'll not take any chances. There are others out there for me to look at. :)
