Ok yeah now I see the resemblance to mine in that bulletin picture. Squint both eyes, close one, drink a scotch and do jumping Jack's and It'll kind of look like it.

And, if the “tech” tried to prime the truck, and not get fuel at the injector pump, he never would, if the solenoid was closed.

I primed the lift pump right in front of the "mechanic" one time and heard the OFV squeak confirming fuel to injection pump. He got 2 more mechanics to come out and push my truck into the bay... while he was walking away he said "well first I need to see if the pumps getting fuel".

The solenoid has nothing to do with fuel getting TO the IP. If the shutoff lever is down or “off”, the fuel from the lift pump passes through the OFV and down the return line back to the tank. The lift pump is still pumping fuel to the IP any time it’s pumping, be that from pushing the primer or the engine turning over.

Ok. That ones a freebie. If it happens again, you’ll have to look closer.

Yeah, I haven’t talked with him about that yet....

FCA customer care not too helpful. Case is now going to a supervisor. It's a tit for tat with FCA hearing my side and Dodge dealers side saying well " dealer says this and you say that".

Keep up the fight. I had a really bad diagnosis from a dealership on my wife's Jeep, I completely disagreed and informed them not to touch it since they clearly didn't know what they were doing. There was no charge.

Maybe we’ll all do a call campaign to the dealership, telling them the deal. They’d have to hear me at the least, I have ASE paper. The only down side is I didn’t see your truck in person.
Facts are facts. That fuel system does not call for that pump modification. That’s the bottom line.

I've spoken with 4 people at the dealership and 2 from FCA. Nobody has an answer and there is silence when I tell them that bulletin of instructions shows a 24V and I have a 12V so how does this work on my truck?? Nor can they explain why my VIN comes up for the conversion. They are FIRM as much as I am that they've done no wrong but can't even explain why they did a diagnosis (told them check the relay or fuse), came back and said you need the in tank conversion. This is NOT over.....

I certainly hope you are documenting ALL of this... Including the phone call times and dialog.
I certainly am. I know all about taking notes, pictures, dates, etc as I do contracting work. Learned all about that years ago. I'm getting shuffled in the corporate 3 ring circus so you bet I am.

Well I was promised a return call by today and it has not happened (yet?). Kind of funny also that they haven't even read or opened the emails I sent including the conversion instruction pdf. FYI there is an app available to track emails. It tells you in real time when your email was opened and read and how many times, etc. It's called Mailtrack. Time to bug FCA some more...

What a joke this is turning out to be. My case manager at FCA said they are closing my case and I'd have to pursue anything from here out with the Dodge dealer directly (small claims court). Got every excuse from case manager saying "your trucks 20 yrs old, out of warranty, has modified fuel lines, and said she sees no wrongdoing on Dodges part". WOW... we'll see if I want to drag it to small claims just to prove a point now.

You'd mentioned that you had emailed some other dealers with your VIN asking if their was an in-tank conversion for you truck. How many replies did you get and how many said "Yes" and how many said "No"?
