Still doesn't fix why this particular Dodge runs my VIN and comes up with this conversion. Not sure what the next step is... pondering.....

I think Sag2 had the answer when he illustrated the need to use the filter in the parts system. He made it come out right.

The parts people at that dealership didn't use that filter (lack of training, "Those trucks are all the same!" mentality) so the search was not refined to your vin.....in my opinion...as a former Parts Man, then a Parts Manager and now a Parts Director I'm pretty confident my assessment is very close to what happened...

The dealership needed to suck it up quite a while back in my opinion..mistakes happen..take ownership of it and move on...

Oh ok.. thanks for clarifying!...

Print it out and take it to the Service Manager. If he balks, take it to the GM. Somebody'll have to suck it up.

The suspense is killing us...……...quicker than any climate abnormalities.
Yeah I know, me too! Well I found the general managers email and then forwarded her the email. Her response was " thanks for letting me know, the store service director will be in contact". ..... we wait again.

It's like I'm dealing with animals in a 3 ring circus at this dealership.... that's what corporate America is all about though. I think they are caving and I should have a result soon.

Well.. after many phone calls, emails and speaking to too many people they counter offered to refund half the money. Lesson here: listen to TDR guys advice more, don't go to Dodge UNLESS it's an emergency and make myself more familiar with common but rare issues with the 12V. Case closed!

If they counter-offered, it means they are still trying to stick it to you and weasel out. Maybe settle for 80%. Or get a bulldog to negotiate 100% for you. They were wrong. They know they were wrong. So find out how much they are willing to spend to stick it to you.

Aside, don't forget which Dodge dealers the government closed and which ones the government allowed to continue operating some years back.

It was an ultimatum .. they argued they'll give have or nothing. I was done dealing with the chaos of "you need to speak to this person, this person will call you back (and doesn't), etc.,". Her argument was I confirmed a diagnosis. The problem was they were loose on what they did and didn't write on the work order. They listed it was a no start, but DIDN'T write that I asked them to check the fuse or relay and replace whichever was bad. They said mechanic said he did (lie) as I confirmed it next day with help from Scott.... it came down to he said, she said, blah, blah. They also asked I remove the Google review... will I? NO!.

No removal, but I would add more on, most certainly.

I just got my ‘14 Durango back from warranty work (I have max care on it). I was confronted with a $145 diagnostic fee on each item if my claims were unfounded. One item was a coolant leak you can smell, so when we went out to write up the car, I stuck the writers head into the grille, and sarcastically said “I guess we just diagnosed that one already!” It wound up getting a radiator.
