Diamond Plate Floor Mats

I saw some diamond plate floor mats somewhere that I really liked. Anyone have them or are they just for looks and not functional? I don't want to throw away money, since my better half is getting a new Liberty, to be delivered next week, maybe.

NM, a good friend of mine has them in a 01 Dodge one ton. He is pretty happy with them, let's face it, they are pretty much indestructible. When I was last in his truck a few weeks ago, I did notice that they did not shine as much as they once did, I would guess that dirt on the bottom of the shoes/boots acts kind of like sandpaper.
