I got a strange e-mail tonight that I am really puzzled by. It is from

"diesel fuel injection" china_lutong@(with-held)

and it is titled,

Head & Rotor VE 08/28

Kinda strange, and just wondering how I got on their list. It is in chinese also, even more. . .

It looks like somewhere someone has sold our names to a company marketing diesel parts.

I got the email too.



China also manufactures some B engines along with other parts for Cummins Engines.

Someday, we might be buying chinese parts for our Mighty Cummins engines. When an engine goes obsolete in the U. S. because of emissions (read N14)or whatever reasons, Cummins sends the manufacturing equipment out of country to be manufactured for use abroad, or at start up joint ventures.

Anyhow a little off topic, but at least we'll have B parts forever!!!

I also got this email, deleted it. This is the third diesel related email I have received.



First one was "supposedly" from TDR Member Joe G. and the subject was something about service manuals. I responded to Joe, and he said it wasn't from him. It seemed legit, because I was at the time searching the TDR site for service manual suggestions.....



Two days ago, I got another email supposedly from TDR Member ericbu12 - it was a porn site advertisement, and I know it wasn't from Eric... ... ...

I got that email a month ago. It cracked me up, LOL

Mostly because it seemed to list only rotary pumps. You know, the ones that came on the first gen trucks... . Does this mean that ten years from now, we'll be getting email from them, offering used(or copied ! ) Edges for $5 apiece? VP44's for $25 each? Or P7100 pumps next year for $100 ? Just imagine having delivery valves made with pot metal... .
