did some mods this weekend... check em out

Installed my recon tail lights, i think they look really nice with the color of my truck. changed out the green isspro's i had and put in the blue ones to match my gauge cluster(see other post about cluster). tryed to remove my muffler with a friend but no luck and i hit my head and cut it open, got #@$%! and brought it to a muffler shop to have the geno's delete kit put in. Really nice sound now. Of course i also got the free sticker so had to put that on. Nice addition i think.

actually it was kind of difficult. you have to wet it and stick it in place then peel the transfer paper off. well because the windshield is curved and the sticker comes in one piece it didnt want to curve. so i cut the words seperate and did it that way. also you have to be really carefull when peeling away the transfer paper because it was sticking too much to the decals(letters are all seperate stickers). In the end it all looked good, just need to be patient.

yes they are the recon led tail lights. no i had no bulb out indication so i think they are good to go.

Going out on a limb here, but I'm gonna guess Virginia Note the trees with "leaves" are evergreens.

Speaking of weather I got a case of spring fever this evening and started waxing & spiffing my truck up in the driveway. I just got done installing my Lund SS grille inserts (at 10pm), the thermometer stayed just above 50 all evening. Pic didn't turn out too well 'cause it's dark outside

I don't have that sticker but used to make vinyl adhesive signs for a living. If the sticker came with a backing and transfer paper on the front, then here are a few tricks to make it easier. Set the sticker on the truck where you want it. Tape it in place with at least 2 inch wide masking tape, (preferrably blue which is less sticky) across the top of the sticker.



The masking tape should function as a hinge so you can fold the sticker up to remove the backing. At this point, you can cut the sticker apart if it's too long to work with. Then fold up the sticker, remove the backing and carefully lay it down and smooth it out with a flexible plastic spreader. After it's down, remove the transfer paper. Hope this helps the next one to put on some vinyl!

well i think that once i decided to be patient enough the sticker went on easy. just the first word, cummins the most important word was where we started and tried to rush it. After i fixed it i did the rest of it the next day and took my time and it was done in 10 minutes.

some of the trees are not evergreens and they are sprouting. the worst part about it getting warmer here is the #@$%! birds! i have right now about 15 bird craps all over my truck. All the other people in my parking lot same thing. I'm just glad the only animal that craps on vehicles is birds. I can't imagine what life would be like if humans did this often lol.

i forgot to mention something that ****** me off. the recon tail lights do not come with reverse bulbs in them. Also they are not the same bulbs as in your stock lights. I had to get a buddy drive me to the store to get some bulbs because mine was all apart to wire them in. Not once is that little fact mentioned on recon's site or instructions. I thought they were led but they aren't. something to think about if you guys put on these lights.

i havn't taken it on the highway yet but its not so loud that it is annoying. with windows up its only a little noticeable. it is still quiet at idle. However since my truck is an auto it does droan a little but gets quiet when it shifts to overdrive.
