Ok hauled home a new (to us) gooseneck today and when parking trailer noticed my ABS & brake lights were on.

Later this evening I noticed I had running lights, but no brake lights.

Pulled the fuse for the brake lights and it was blown? Could faulty wiring (bad ground, etc. ) cause my rear brake light fuse to blow?

Be glad you don't have an 06. There have been a couple reports of 06's blowing the PDM when you short out either brake/turn signal wire. I have looked at the wire diagrams and it looks like they left the fuses out of both turn wires in 06.

I put a reese adaptor into my wire harness so I can tap off a 7 pin into the bed. I plan to put fuses into both turn lines within this harness so I don't void the warrantee by cutting the factory harness.

What did you find out was the problem? My '95 dually is doing the same thing - except without a trailer hooked up! Same thing exactly. Did you gitter fixed?
