1. For the Cummins.

2. For the live front axel with coils.

3. For the bullet NV-56 Honey trans.

If GM loses the IFS 4X's and put in a Cat or Cummins i'll go back to GM.

I THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

the cummins, huge front and rear axles, i like the front of the dodges anyway. its got that baby big rig look that ford tries to copy.

So it's no surprise that on Jan 15 2005, I ordered a 35800 Quad DRW 4x4 with the 610. It was built Feb 2, arrived at the same dealer March 4, and I took delivery March 8.

That's funny, because I ordered mine 3 days after you, and I'll be lucky to see it by April 1st.

OK, everyone agrees Cummins is a great engine, maybe the best engine ever made gas or diesel, but Dodge is a great truck too and always had been. Think about it. Is your Dodge always in the shop? All my friends with Fords are always in the shop. Again Chevy's not worth talking about. Maybe Ford is a little fancier, who cares. I rather have a truck that will get me and my RV anywhere I want to go without breakdowns. grizzly

I hope the people at DC are reading this!!!!! Lose the engine and Dodge will lose the easy money it makes off of the Cummins!!! Bottom line is that without the Cummins a lot of Mexicans would be out of a job!

To answer Baccagab;

My 03 Dodge has never given me any problems at all. It just lacks on good features that Ford has, such as good seats..... read this DC !!! But we must remember we are not driving the Dodges we used to. We are driving a foreign truck, Built by the Germans, Designed by the Germans, Full control by the Germans, built in Mexico and Imported to the US. Then its Badged DODGE... ... . NOT Its a Foreign Truck. But its still a good truck, Just not Dodge we all remember. WOnder what sales would be if they Badged it with some other name ???

I've been a Chevy man for years, but Chevy quit building trucks in 1987 (1991 for 1 tons). I guess I like the Dodge part, because Dodge hasn't forgot it is a truck, not a car. As for the Cummins, I love it, because I have driven over the road trucks for 26 years, and Cummins is tops in my book!

cummins sold me on the dodge--hands down. if dodge didnt have this powerplant i highly doubt they would be in the top three for diesels. just my . 02

Couldn't agree more. I have three 73-87 style trucks. One was in Fourwheeler Magazine for the last two months straight, and I was on Fourwheeler TV driving it.

I bought my Cummins to pull my Chevy, and it came with a free Dodge.

well lets see i drive an over the road truck, and i wanted a new diesel pickup, and i thought dodge was the best looking, and i knew that real diesels were in line(cat and cummins and detroit all tryed v8s and they dont make them for trucks anymore for a reason,i am a cat man but i liked the cummins, and as far as the transmission is concerned, dont blame it,blame dodge for setting it up for a gas truck. look at how much horsepower these guys r running thru these 47res(or should i say 7727 w/o),hell even the big allison wont take it unless built, well in ending i bought a truck with a cummins and i have never even pulled a triler with it and ive had it 4 years and except the roof lights leaking, never had any squeeks or raddles and it gets better milage than most gassers that weigh 8200 lbs... thanks for listining!

I wanted a Cummins engine. The dealer said I would need a big truck to haul it around in and he had this big white Dodge Dually 4x4 out there in the lot. So I said ok, and $40,000 later I now drive a Dodge truck.

Well, for starters I am Dodge all the way. I have grown up around them. Trucks, Road runners, Cuda's, Chargers, all of them. I will always buy Dodge.

However, from the people I have spoke to and from personal experiance if the Cummins was not available in any of the big 3 trucks, the decision would be based on brand preferance and function. Up until Dodges new crew concept most people I know (if the Cummis was not available) would have gone to ford (GM and Cheve never seem to be an answer) mearly because of function. If Dodge ditches the C that is what the decision will be based on. Looks, brand preferance and function. Dodge thinks there trucks are what is selling, it is actually the C that is selling them. Want proof. Ever seen a Dodge ad that states they have a Cummins available. Even GM ads state they have available allison transmitions. But Dodge doesn't get it.

From personal experiance, fords suck. Mom and Dad have a 04 powerjoke Excursion (mite I add only bought because Dodge doesn't offer an suv that big).

Quote "Since 03 the FORD has not been ok. Read the Ford sites. Resale has got to be the pits for anyone looking to buy one and doing any research before they purchase. " They have had all sorts of problems with the new 6. 0. In previous Excursion they never had an issue with the 7. 3's.

Bottom line. Dodge better be paying attention to this thread.

I'd like to second that ,

GM lost me for good when they went with the IFS sytem. I have always owned 4wd's but i feel that its garbage compared to a solid axle , the H1 is the exception to the rule.

As for the Dodge , I have to say when they were redesigned for 1994 i fell in love with the new look . The Cummins how ever is what got my attention one day traveling thru Jacksonville Fl on I-95 i had a 96/97 3500 ctd passing me with a fully loaded 3 car hauler in tow like it was nothing .

Thats what got me hooked .

Personal note to DC , TAKE THE CUMMINS OUT AND I AS WELL MANY OTHERS WON'T BE A REPEAT CUSTOMERS.

I AM ON MY SECOND DODGE CTD .

I HOPE THEY GET THE MESSAGE.
