What to do with gun when going into Canada

The Mk.2 version of the S.A.T.

I almost forgot about the time I got in trouble when I was in first grade. The teacher told me that she was going to spank me, but I managed to slip out of class at the end of the day without getting it. The next day I wore ten pairs of underwear for protection, but she must have forgotten about wanting to spank me. I must have walked funny that day, with all that extra padding.

You never!

You never give lip to a Nun with PMS and a attitude!!!!!The back of my head still has indentations from ruler!!!!!!!So very sorry Sister. . One thing you learn very quickly in parochial school, the difference between right and wrong(and how to not get caught at later)... ... Father forgive me, for I have sinned!

Growing up in rural NC in the 70's you could expect to be discilplined by whomever deemed it necessary - teachers, principals, sunday school teachers, your friends parents, etc. Funny thing, despite all of the liberal crying about child abuse I know of very few of my peers that ended up being wife-beaters, child molesters, professional dancers, or such.

My folks had three rambunctious boys to deal with who, I have no doubt, deserved quite a bit more punishment than we ever received. Funny thing, the kids whose parents didn't discipline them ended up being the ones in jail due to drunk driving or worse offenses.

I truly believe that a little discipline at the right time goes a long way.

"Time out" - as a friend of mine relates - was the duration you were unconscious after you sassed Dad.

Also, whatever I got at school was alot better than what I got when I got home - ever notice how your folks knew before you got home that you had gotten a whuppin' at school?

I too was incarcirated in a catholic grade school in the early 70's. Man when you got a nun mad you knew pain was sure to follow! I think 4th grade was my defining moment in life. I got dragged around by the hair, beat with a ruler, slammed against the lockers, and hit with the Sunday paper(10lbs) so many times I can't remember. The only thing was, I deserved every one. ;)

That mean old nun looked 7ft tall back then. I saw her about 20 years later and couldn't believe my eyes. She was all of 5ft nuthin'.

She did say something that stuck with me my whole life. The only true motivators are pain, love, and money.
