Who here has already installed one? Mine hasn't completely arrived yet (the muffler showed on Friday), but the rest should be here in a couple of days.

Regarding the muffler... it appears to not have any hangers on it. If this is the case, does this mean I should plan on having a shop install the system? I don't have the resources to weld at home... so I'm guessing the system may not be a do-it-yourself setup.

The hangers for the exhaust system are welded onto the brackets. The system is really easy to install and sounds great. The hardest part to join for me was the exhaust to the turbo. You should congratulate yourself on a great purchase.

I also installed DD'S exhaust my self, was a very easy install. You will find all the hangers welded on 4" clamps makes it easy, the only hanger i had to have welded was the one next to the trans, but you will be able to drive the truck. Love the sound. #ad

The reason why the DD exhaust does not have the rod for the transmission bracket welded to a clamp is that the angle and distance varies truck to truck. The other hangers are very nicely welded to clamps. I prefer this setup greatly to welding hangers onto the pipes, to prevent cracking, etc.

If you are anywhere near Las Vegas, it may well be worth your time to stop in at Diesel Dynamics for the installation. Their fabricator/welder does fantastic work. Beautiful welds, solid, and accurate. He tack welds the system, then removes it entirely and fully welds the joints for an exact custom fit to the vehicle.

Sickly's custom application downpipe welds done at DD are a work of art, and the fit is excellent. Maybe I'll have to consider giving my poor old sickly Ram another nickname, with such craftsmanship lavished on him #ad
