The most common way for that to happen is that an injector sticks open. It will be a lot cheaper for him to figure out the problem than to wait for it to blow he engine which is what will happen when he runs oil diluted with diesel fuel much longer... .
hi i thought if extra fuel came past the injectors even raw fuel drops it would cause a runaway motor and hammer like hell the 1 cyl , i am con fused ?
if a transer tube was loose it would be hard to start and would only return more fuel to the tank. it would however put fuel into the oil IF the injector bodie o-ring was faulty
I've seen crossover tube damage. Truck started and ran normally and the fuel leaked out back through the return line. It does not get into the oil unless you have a bad top o-ring on the injector as well. This can be a difficult problem to diagnose.
Thanks for the ideas. He's cleaned the injectors off with brake cleaner but sees no leakage, even while reving the engine to 2000 rpm! Could it be the only time there is leakage is when towing a heavy load?
