This is so funny.............. :-lafAt which point they would be out of business selling for less than the cost of the product. There is NO big margin of fuel prices at the pump, it changes load by load and if they are lucky pays the electric bill to pump and advertise it. If its cheaper than high volume stations it is due to 2 reasons; the fuel is older delivery and has been there a while, or, it is cut rate beginning\end of the pipeline run with questionable quality.
Given the potential ridiculously expensive repair bills for any hpcr fuel system, do you realllllllllllllly think a local retailer is going to chance selling sub-standard fuel for a measly few cents per gallon profit?
The ONLY time I elect to use loves/pilot/flying j/speedway truck lanes is when I have a haul that generally limits me to those lanes OR if I need DEF as well. Their higher priced fuel is higher priced to cover the artificial discounts they claim they give large trucking companies as well as cover that expensive real estate where the trucks park.
Through 356k miles......my Radio Flyer has ran just fine on less expensive fuel found a few miles away from the interstate as Newsa explained.
