Hey guys- Just wondering if you all saw the artical in teh Diesel Power mag this month (not a fan of the magazine its self) but this time I think it may have paid for my subscription!!!!
In it there is a 5. 9 swap into a 93 GMC. Half way thru the artical it was talking about running the mechanical fan or going with electrices and said that space is an issue with the GMC when trying to run the intercooler (that is a big problem for me right now... I need an extra 3/4") Anyway, it showed a pic of the braket/pulley that the fan screws to. It showed a 89-93 unit and then a 94+ piece. It said that the 89-93 was 1 1/2" shorter and that gave the needed clearance!!!
Does anyone know anything about this? looking at the pic I could see it no problem but are the other brakets different also? or do I just have to get the 89-93 fan also and clutch?
Any help on this would be great!!!!
Thanks again... RyanB
