Competition 3rd gen pullin

I've been over on the Diesel Place talking about the DP challange. Mike Tomac won, and you would thing the world stopped turning for at least 30 minute's. Are those folks alway's that sensitive and boostful? What a crowd.

Nobody here is like that? :D

I guess not all, but the majority are into this "chev rule's" mentality. I'm glad losing is something I've gotten used to.

Your Philosophy or a statement ?

You smartass punks. Leave this old man alone. I made an analytical observation of the general mentality, personality's and attitudes of the poster's. And if you gentlemen will take a closer look at the quotation mark at the end of the sentence, you will see a question mark. That does not donote a "statement". And observation, I would say.

I just can't say anything around here.

Funny thing is if you look at the article dodges ruled the sled pulling and the weighted drag race.

That was the west coas shootout. They did the one on the East Coast tuesday and Wednesday. Mile Tomac won the event with his "swiss army knife on wheels" That truck is very versatile, and almost custom made to excel at this type of competition.

My view on Dmax guys...

When those guys scream for joy when they beat a Cummins it should make all of us feel good. Its things like that, that let me know the mighty Cummins is the one everyone is gunning for.

Its really a crowning achievement for a DMAX to win. Look at the top guys in every sport we compete in. All Cummins powered machines.

Congratulations goes out to Tomac, and all the competitors.

Justin

Tomac does have a sweet truck and congrats to him. Some of the guys are the DieselPlace are of a different crowd. Like Turbo Thom mentioned, it is alot of DMAX rules Cummins sucks over there. Maybe it is the years of Cummins doing so well? I don't know. It does upset me when somebody gets to rambling about the DMAX being superior, and they say look how far it has come in the 5 years. I just laugh, thinking a huge reason it is developing so fast is look at the companies that the 7. 3 and the 5. 9 established. Lots of the companies got over their growing pains with the Powerstroke and the Cummins. They also act like since you won the even that it is the king of all trucks in the land. I have said it before and I will say it again. TOMAC has a sweet truck and he is the winner of the DPC east, does that make it the best truck in the world? Nope, just the best truck that competed in the event.

Thats fine and all but a cummins will still win the DHRA street class, super street, and Mod classes this Saturday and Sunday! :-laf

Thanks for the confidence Justin:), I am not sure how well my truck is running. I haven' had a decent hook since scheids. Been fighting electrical issues, and fuel pump issues. Oh you were probably talking about Painter, or the guy from NC. LOL

I wish I had not let down all of you guys on the west coast challange. I had it won except I made 2 mistakes that where my fault not the trucks. I had the best all-round truck there and I messed up. Believe me I hate it when the d-max guys talk about winning both events I would give my left nut if I could have that day over. Not trying to take anything away from the other competitors they all had good trucks. :(

I did not take a trailer and only had 2 days on a brand new auto transmission that was just swapped into my truck and on the trailer tow I left the line to easy and got last placed in that event. By the way I had the most torque and should had be able to be at least top 3 if not win. Then in the first pull some how my drag comp got turned off. I should have checked before I pulled but I do not know how it got off. With the comp on I put 10 ft on the 2nd place guy and almost 20 to 3rd. Do not get me wrong I am not a bad loser I just wish I had performed like I know I could.

How was the trailer tow event?? A drag race with a trailer behind ya?

Yes. The trailer was 10,000 pounds and the race was 1/8 mile. When I was at the starting line David the editor came up to me because I was the first to go and said he was not exactly sure on the weight and can of gave me warning. Granted I should be in it to win but I messed up. I know as soon as I got done that I had made a mistake.

For a single charger truck with some NOS he done good against Twins/NOS and water/meth trucks , on the dyno his #s wasnt that great iv seen 24v singles #2 only make more , his NOS run gained just a little more , and he let off in the pulling cause i was in the way DOH . But hey he does this all the time most of the other guys never hooked one even said he would pull 10ft and let off cause he didnt want his truck dirty but he changed his mind after making a full pull and is going to build a puller LOL

Mike ran good, he was spraying on some of the events, but not all ! Alot of the other trucks was too. The thrid place truck did it all on # 2 fuel alone !!! Hats off to all of the trucks.
