Thanks, TDR Staff

Just Paid Over $100.00 To Fill Standard Tank

Has anyone used the "Bio-Willie" Bio Diesel???

Whine, whine, whine. I've never heard such complaining.

Has anyone ever read a book about economics?

Has anyone a clue how refineries work?

Has anyone a clue what it costs to make the newer lower sulpher fuels?

Has anyone checked the price of crude lately?

Does anyone know how many refineries have shut down in the last 10

years?

If you think the oil companies/gas stations are gouging and making way too much money, then buy their stocks and share in the profits.

If the oil companies could control prices then the company I worked for would not have damn near gone broke twice in the last 10 years.

My stock has doubled in the last 12 months. I hope the price stays up. I'me making more in the stock then it's costing me in fuel.

Ok Guys,

I've got a bargan for you.

Here in Kailua-Kona, Hi. you can fill up for only 2. 95 a gal. (no, we don't need a winter mix in Hawaii). The only bad thing is that it will cost about $950 to ship your truck over here for the fill.

Dropped . 20 in two weeks in Mormon country... "down" to $2. 19 from the painful $2. 39 and a $70 fill up! Bend over America!

It's Highway Robbery, diesel pick-up owners are a small minority with a small voice. If regular unleaded had gone up as much as diesel, it would be front page news. There is absolutely no reason why diesel should be higher priced than regular unleaded, let alone super unleaded, which in WA state, diesel is about . 10 higher per gallon and about . 30 higher per gallon than regular unleaded.

Bill - Your off base here and your preaching to the wrong choir.

when i first bought my diesel it was 1. 59 and i thought i was smart because unleaded was about 20 cents more. now its 1. 97 and two weeks ago it wa 2. 17 and now its 10 20 cents more . all i have to say is wtf!! i thought diesel was cheaper to make??

In SLC the Smith's station at 3300 S 3300 E (By REI) and the Chevron at 3900 S 2300 E are both $2. 19. Two weeks ago it was $2. 39 at both of these places.

No, you are way off base. There is a reason for diesel prices to be higher. It is called economics of supply and demand. The oil companies are trying to build up enough supply of heating oil to get thru this upcoming winter. All of the long term weather models are showing that we could be in for a real winter for the first time in years. That means that refineries must switch some of their production away from making diesel to increase the output of fuel oil. Simple economics. Am I happy about the price of diesel? No. Can I do anything about it? Yeah, but not enough to affect the price, so why ***** about it...

The coin flips the other way as well. I see nothing wrong with folks discussing this topic either way. You may not be *****ing about gas prices going up, but you are *****ing... ... ... Nothing like the pot calling the kettle black :-{}

It's 2.31 here in Upstate NY

And I'm none too happy about it. There is a refinery 16 miles from my house, and the fuel is as expensive there as it is in Buffalo 100 miles away. We are getting the shaft. I talked to a couple of independant truckers the other day, and they stated that they are about ready to park thier trucks, as they can't afford to haul loads anymore. So that means. That Mister "I don't Give a f... because my stock is going up... " will give a damn when he's paying 3. 50 a gallon for MILK, and 3. 50 a gallon for Diesel Fuel.

If the tree hugging, communist, world worshiping freaks don't get a clue, we are all in for a depression even the best president can't overcome.

Granted, my fuel bill has gone from 440 a month when I bought the truck in April to over 600 a month now, and I'm paying it. I'M NOT GOING OUT TO DINNER, OR MOVIES, AND IT'S GOING TO BE A PRETTY WEAK CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR!

Thank about that mister stock broker

UGGGGGGGHHHHHRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of the president (since this thread is temporaraly hijacked) and stocks. I tend to agree with Greenspan's statement about the national debt. If we don't curb it your/our stocks are going down, down, down... ... . So How about spending a few more billion abroad and continue to ignore health care and other issues closer to home. That ought to provoke some replys. :)

Yea, the Mexican truckers will take over it all, thanks "Best President"

WHAT the hell does giving away the National forests, to the republican(China) party have to do with your diesel fuel prices?????... ... ... besides I like trees ;) , I just don't like sending them and our steel to China on our collective "dime"!

Thank about that mister stock broker

The NYSE is not controlled by you or me.

Prices

In northern NH the price ranges from $2. 29 to $2. 35. In central NH the least expensive I can find is $2. 18.

Question Are the taxes on diesel higher than on gasoline? A dealer I know tells me that it takes more processing to make gas than diesel, & even with supply & demand it should coast more at the pumps. In the long run this will have a majer effect on the economy. That will not be a good thing for any of us, and our troubles at the pump will seem trivial by comparison. :{ :( :--)
