Palmdale Drags:Truckin' for Kids

Going to the Octoberfest here in Salt Lake City

At the last cookout after the dyno, I ate a burger that fell on the ground... . and drank a LOT of beer in a short amount of time due to the ever famous "Bottle Rocket"... :D

My vote is for COOKOUT... . restaurants are too constrained... .

Matt

Okay, I can see how a cookout would be more comfortable for everyone. When we went to Muncie, the parking lot was clearly the place to be. So how do we want to do the food thing? Do we have any money in the coffers? Does one person go out and buy the food, or do we all bring something? or what?

cook out i say... possible camp out too as most of us are going to newhampshire the next day any how. . either rhode island or newhampshire campout etc... by the way the dyno how much is it again?... did my exhaust its 5" till the down pipe thats a really rigged up ran out of mig wire / 6v92 detroit crossover pipe creature... ha but works till i can re do it in 4"... sounds sweet same as my truck with out a muffler and half its exhaust (condition it was in prior ha)... . cool rock and roll . . later deo

well--as of now-- it looks like rain on saturday. sunday is now just at cloudy. i'm in for the cookout, but a restaurant is fine. oh i remember tearing up the road at my first meet there with the smokey onesOo.

deo, did you get that stack on? $60 for 3 runs.

Stack on?..... OH YEAH!..... 5" turn out chrome single stack , through bed , 5" elblow and full 5" piping outside the frame rail under passenger floor to a fender well down pipe setup. . this flows very straight and clears up the under frame clutter, now i don't heat up my transmission cooler and lines and i can change my transfer case u joints much easier!... cool

oh wheaties its only one stack ha the twin to this one is in my living room behind my recliner i guess i may be the only one on the tdr with a 5" stack equiped recliner huh???? matt holset has seen it and he approves. .

ok guys

listen guys their is a few who need to do a little work after the dyno and are staying in franklin at a local hotel and also if anyone needs a room let me know before thurs. So I was figuring maybe a late afternoon cookout slash wrench time at massdiesel in norfolk. Crack some tools out have some food a few beers and some laughs. We can do it one of two ways at the shop order from a local pizza shop like we did before that way nobodys has to do anything like go get food or anything but pick it up after we order. Or we have to shop and all that what do u say. I will supply beer and sodas and chips either way. could be a bit crazy having a cookout after dezs but if u wanna then thats cool but louis will be easy. also anyone who has come to massdiesel knows louies and its good. let me know asap

Scott and Matt,

Thanks for staying on top of this :D

My vote would be for Louis’s. Less hassle and great food. Besides, we usually are not done at Mike’s until late. If for some reason we finish early, we can always change the game plan ;)

Joe

I volunteer to go to Louie's and pick up the chow! I wanna look at the eye candy behind the counter... . :D

I may not make it to the dyno in the AM... but I'll call folks that will be there and see when I can break free from my obligations to head on down to Massdiesel or the dyno.....

Deo's recliner used to have DUAL 5" chrome tip out stacks... . now it only has one..... I approve wholeheartedly!

Matt

mummn i forgot and was reminded that saterday morning i have to go with the fiance and get our marriage license ha so i won't be at the dyno i will try to me at mass diesel besides i have never been there and i would liek to see iff my new tweaks work out hehe... later

Jeff: don't worry... that gal is already taken by the owner's son... . I don't want to talk to her or even hear her speak... I just wanna look. :D Besides, the lease on my foreign exchange student isn't up yet!! :-laf

Eviction/auction? Close... . but no cigar. I said a LONG time ago that I'd help my buddy's rents move into their newly constructed humble abode. If I start early... . I'll be outta there early. Just gotta help 'em take the wheels off their new house!! haha

I'll be around on Sat... just don't know if it'll be at the dyno or Scott's place... . Sunday is also set in stone.

Matt

Hey guys,

It's looking like I won't be able to make this one. Too much going on with the new house. Trying to finish some work on it as well as complete some painting.

I' m bummed out about it but will try to be at the next one. :{

I'll keep you informed if anything changes. :)

Louie's sounds fine to me. But I gotta say, I haven't had any good fried turkey in months!!! Where's that TDews guy? He and I seemed to be on the same wavelength when it came to food...

Matt

Okay, Scott called me this afternoon. The plan is to go back to Norfolk and do some post dyno wrenching at MassDiesel's. Food provided by Louie.

Then we hit the road Sunday morning and head up to the Truck Drags in NH. Sound okay?

I sent out an email, but it was only to a limited number of folks. My laptop died a day or so ago, and it looks like it took the data with it. I'm going to have to rebuild the mailing list. Sorry about that folks!

roughly what time are you planning on heading up to scott's shop? oh, and what time are you all planning on being at the drags? i think i'll be there around 8:30 (sunday), but i'd like to see what you're all up to.

All I can say is that if Scott is nice enough to offer his shop for a get together, then we're all gonna be in for a pretty good time. Looking forward to seeing everyone again this weekend.

Everyone going to Massdiesels after the dyno... ... ... ... ..... please be courtious for Scott's sake. Due to some hot-rodding in the past, people in the neihborhood have complained to the police. Try to keep you speed and noise down so Scott doesn't have to hear about it.

TIA

George
