Is there a difference between the first NV5600's and the later version used in 2002? I was thinking the output shaft may have been increased in size... but definately not sure...

The early NV5600 had a 1. 250" input shaft. Starting with the ETC (245HP) engine the input shaft size increased to 1. 375". There has also been atleast one change in the design of the syncro's. If you have an earlier one and it needs to be rebuilt it requires most if not all of the gears to be replaced to accept the newer design syncro's.

I just went through this with mine. The syncro's are different, as well as the input shaft. So a complete rebuild requires new gears and and syncros.
