Thats the Name for the Truck, Not the Engine that provides the Power. You can get a Silverado with a gasser, And a Superduty with a Gasser, And a Ram with a Gasser.
Why doesnt Ford and Gm put the Real Manufacture's names of the Engines in their Light duty pickups on the truck?
Its Because its a Marketing Ploy.
The Only good thing GM Did was the Allison transmission, But the rest of the truck I dont like
40k for Lightduty Pickup?, I would rather a Midrange/MediumDuty Truck for that price.
Daimler Chrysler holds MB. Doesnt MB Make some of the worlds Finest Diesel Engines?
I think Daimler Chrysler owns Detriot Diesel Too.
So Dodge Could Put one of their Own Real Diesel's in the Ram. But with the Following of the Cummins Fans, They would lose Business. I like the Cummins, and their reputation.
The Name "Cummins" Speaks for itself, Period. It doesnt need a Boost with some Commic book name I. E. Duramax,Powerstroke.
I'm Just glad the Daimler Chrysler Doesnt do the Same as GM By having Mistubishi make the Diesel engine Option for the Ram.
What would that be Called?
A MaxiMax,
CaptanMax,
PullMax,
Powerpull,
SuperStroke,
DuraPower,
DuraStroke,
SilverStroke,
Superado,
DuraLube?
LOL!
IMO Gm is Joke,Look at the Aztec,Avalanche,Caddy Deville/Escalade-BUTT UGLY!!!. I'd rather buy a Hyundi, At least I wont waste as much money.
The Only Gm products I would Own are Pre 1988 Trucks and Pre 1974 Cars.
I didnt leave Gm, Gm Left Me.
And If Diamler Chrysler Leaves the Cummins out of the Ram, Then I am Done with Chrysler. And its Back with Buying Older Trucks again and fixing them up.
Doug.
