I am currently installing my ISSPRO guages and would like to hook the lights up to the dimmer switch. Does anybody have an easy way to do this? I pulled the dash off to look at the light/dimmer switch, but don't know which wire (color) is for the dimmer action. I have a 98 so the light and dimmer are all one. Does anybody have a better way to hook this up? Any suggestion greatly appreciated. This bombing is going to be WAY to much fun!!!!!

Never mind. I performed a search and found what I was looking for. I guess I should have done that first. I took my tester and found a good spot. Thanks anyway!

Tapping into the dimming circuit is easy to do at the headlmap witch. The one you want to look for is an 18-gauge tan wire. Center splice onto that one, and you'll be set. Another way to din your gauges is to use a fuse tap, and put in on the dash light fuse. I personally don't like doing that because it seems a little on the "makeshift" side. Center splicing and soldering is my preferred method. #ad

Heh, heh, heh...

You're the first to ask about this...

Basically, I converted my turn signals to a 6-way system, which means 2 on the front, 2 ont he rear, and 2 on the sides. All are amber in color. The rears were a little tricky, but after altering the wiring, it was a breeze. To do it, you have to separate the brake light and turn signal systems at the Multi-Function Switch. My new rear amber turn signals are occupying the backup light sockets. Auxiliary backup lights were added. Having 110W of backup light sure is nice! #ad

I'm moving this thread over to the 2nd gen truck forum. It will better serve the entire group over there.

Thanks for participating
