Looking to buy some gauges and came across the new Dipricol Optix gauges online. They look very nice and the night lighting looks especially good to me. Does anyone have these installed yet that can share some pics or comments??

Thanks!

Thats a really nice looking gauge. The led lighting concerns me though because it may not function with the vehicles dimmer circuit so you could be stuck with one brightness.

According to another website the gauges all come with a potentiometer to allow you to match your factory gauges.

I tried to link directly to the gauges, but it didn't work...

True. . I did find this-

The Optix Series also provides an optional wiring harness that has a single turn potentiometer built in for the ultimate in dimmer control, and to match your interior exactly as you want, not too bright nor too dim.

If you are like me, I find one spot I like and keep it there on the dash lights so having a separate knob for the added gauges would be no big deal.

Theses look great however I have ISSPRO,s already waiting install but its always fun to look at new stuff.

My Isspros are nice, but the lighting leaves something to be desired. The light from the needle spills out on the face of the gauge at night.

Maybe I can sneak a set of Optix in w/o my girlfriend knowing :-laf

Do the match the previous generation Di Pricol's? I like all the gauges I have now but the Pyro, and that is the only one I would replace if they would match.

finally pricol comes out with a pyro with no ugly dot in the center... very nice looking now...

if i already didn't have autometer ultralites, it'd be a toss up between isspro ev or these new pricols...

I was wondering how the light will look. I haven't wired one up yet but plan to do that and take a look at night before mounting. I may add the optional bulb covers to tone down the light. Are you running the gauge as it comes or use the green bulb covers?

My Isspros didn't come with any covers, so I'm just running the bulbs as they are.

They aren't very bright, so I don't think I'd add covers at all anyway. Overall I like the gauges a lot.

Evening,

The new DiPricol Optix are a full 100% LED lighted gauge, the night time appearance is perfect, they do have in the planning an optional dimmer circuit so it can be adjusted to match the stock dash levels, or you can get the dimmer circuit we sell with the Auto Meter LED gauges now. The pyro is also a Stepper motor pyro like the Auto Meter Nexus, C2 and Cobalts, fast reaction and excellent accuracy. They can be used with the older style DiPricol's but the lighting and appearance will be different. We have night and day pics on our site if you want to see them in action.

So just so I've got this straight I could essentially just replace gauge for gauge(without re-wiring). So I'm guessing that the wiring is exactly the same? Mark would you be so kind as to post a picture of the back side of these Optix gauges?

They sure are a nice looking gauge.

I like the even numbering vs the odd numbering on the ISSPRO Pyro

The centers on the new DiPricol match the OEM better too.

One thing though is the led lighting, I had one of my SPA led back lights fail and it meant sending in the whole gauge where the ISSPRO has a common bulb.

Led's in general should out last a bulb IMO.

One thing to consider is the depth of any gauge depending on where you want to mount it. I am putting the ISSPRO's in an overhead pod and due to the depth and also weight if the gauge it will require much more modifications to the pod, gauge and mounting than the shorter lighter weight SPA's I had in my 03.
