Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Torque Convertor Issues

I have a nice autometer fuel press gauge that I would like to install. Two problems: first it does not tell you where to install the sending unit. Second is suggests a remote kit on 98-2002 which I did not know or I would have ordered originally. Bought it from Genos and they do not list the line kit in their catalog, unless I could not find it. Anyone have one of these guages? Help appreciated or I will have to call genos on monday.

go back to genos and get the banjo bolt tapped i think the part # is tappedbanjo, also get the autometer snubber. next get a oil pressure gauge installation kit from a car parts store get the one with the copper line. it will have all of the fittings needed except for one coupling to connect the snubber, replace the banjo bolt on the vp44 with the tapped one . it will be the one on the line with the shrader valve on it. next connect the snubber then the copper line do not cut any of the copper line leave any excess coiled. if it is the mechanical gauge just connect the gauge to the other end of the copper line and you are done. if it is electric connect the sending unit to the end of the copper line and fashion a mount to mount it upright on the firewall. there is a very easy place that already has a hole for a bolt just before the wipers where the hood weather strip is. the reason you are doing this is between the pulsing of the vp44, the lift pump and motor vibration it tears most sending units up in a short time. by using the snubber and mounting on the firewall we have never had a failure. even with the quad commanders.

Like CKelley1 said but in my case had ordered direct and had then make up stainless flex line with AN fittings and such. Mounted pressure sender on firewall. A lot when using a flexible line have not used the snubber with remote mount of the sensor. However it is cheap insurance as to prevent damage to the sensor,
