got some more numbers on this setup:
I was coming south on 45 and a 7. 3 Excursion was hazing everyone w/ smoke (bet that thing was HOT... stock exhaust, stock air box, no gauges, holding it at WOT hazing for long distances)
finally got a hole in traffic where I could shut him down
during that run, I learned that II sets the wastegate on these things at 48psi

or at least mine is!
with my twins, I could see 20psi on the gauge in direct or OD at about 1550-1600rpm with minimal smoke.
with this setup I can put 20psi on the gauge at about 1675-1700! these are 5th and 6th gear numbers... minimal smoke
with the twins, I would get 40psi at about 2000, 45psi at about 2300-2400, and 50psi at about 2500. this is w/ DDP4's
with this setup, I don't even know where I get 40psi, because I have 45psi right at if not before 2000rpm... creeps to 48 at about 2400 or so. this is w/ 215 injectors and thick washers!!!! will these numbers get better when the DDP4's go in?
I never really watched the 10psi numbers because it was pretty much always there w/ the twins no matter what, and it comes on pretty early w/ this turbo... I'm guessing 1300-1400 or so? I don't really lug it like that.
so the long and short of it is boost comes in maybe 100rpm later, but I'm seeing 45psi almost 400rpm sooner! and it may get better when the DDP4's go in.
words can not describe how much quicker boost comes in if I'm just cruising along at 2000rpm w/ 5-10psi showing on the gauge... w/ the twins it took a year and a day for the boost to come in... w/ the 62, it's NOW.
when the DDP4's go in, I'm going to be installing a drive pressure gauge (manifold is tapped, and there's a dead hole in my pillar that used to be for the bottom turbo) I want to make sure the port work isn't increasing the mass:boost ratio so much to overspin the turbo. (not from a standpoint of damage to the turbo, but from an efficiency map standpoint) I figure as long as drive pressure is in check, it should be alright.
