Here I am

Do we have any sales people on this site?

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Are they all made in Mexico?

A few years ago we had several sales people on this site that we could buy from but I haven't seen any lately.

Calling all Doge... ahem, RAM sellers, identify yourselves.

Do your self a favor, when going to look at a new vehicle make an appointment to deal with a fleet mgr. They get paid different than the salesman and can give you a better deal

My wife works in finance at a local dealer here in Greensburg. What area are you in?

I'm m out in California about 15 miles south of San Francisco Airport. I'm looking to buy a 3500 Laramie and was hoping someone here is in sales I could give my business to.

Good post, If I were a salesman especially in these times I would be on every major forum participating in discussions about the products I sell to learn from others and help when I can.

Negotiating a discount with the owner for forum members would be good too. I suppose TDR would then have to set them up as a paying vendor to belong which wouldn't work unless sales justified it.

Still... I think participation could be done without direct sales posts that could indirectly result in sales leeds.

If you don't find someone you might try a call to Stockton Dodge I know they are out of your way but thats where I would look if I were looking.

No kidding... the dealer in my town is now gone and the only ones left are clueless when it comes to truck. My next closest one tells me they can only order trucks once a quarter (which sounds like BS for a cash carrying customer). TDRAdam used to hang out here and sell trucks, he's ship anyplace in the US.

You might try "WOODHOUSE" out of Blair, Nebr. I think they are also in Omaha. I'll bet you can save enough to fly in and drive it home. A friend bought there, $5000 cheaper than local. Lot of people in the midwest know about them!!! google Woodhouse. Won't cost anything to do that!! jps

Dave Smith routinely offers a substantial discount. My '07 went out with factory rebates and $1300 under invoice(routine that year with them). I think those days are over, but they are well versed in California purchases. They order Ca certified trucks that can be sold in all 50 states and do 70% of their sales out of Idaho. You just have it weighed, pay your Ca tax and registration(painfull) and all paperwork is overnighted to you for the DMV. They were flying people up in the good old days but... Milo took over for my salesman and seemed to have good product knowledge. It's not that far from your area. They stock hundreds of vehicles and are getting the 2010's in now. They also have a load of used ones also. Give them a call. December is their slowest month.

Like what was said before, call up Dave Smith in Idaho. Ask for salesman Marty. He will help you out. Avoid any Dodge dealership in California when buying new. Trust me.

Why is that? Can you explain? Not that I don;t believe you, I'm just curious.

I'm just going on previous experience. I have had nothing but bad luck with Dodge dealers in California. Now don't get me wrong, some(emphasis on that word) people have gotten great deals on new trucks in California. I just haven't. I'll give an example: back in '06, I tried buying a 3500 SRW QCLB 4x4 from Folsom Lake Dodge in Folsom, Ca. Sticker price on the truck was $43,280. 00. My OTD price on the truck(keep in mind the truck is bone stock, no accessories or anything on it aside from the way it came from the assembly plant) would have been no less than $56,999. 00. There is NO WAY I'd pay that much for a truck that stickered at $13,719. 00 less. That same year a friend of mine referred me to Dave Smith in Idaho and I told them my experience and since then they have treated me the way I expect to be treated at a dealership. That is why I always refer people to there.

Also, as far as only neighboring states being able to by Ca vehicles, that is not true. Thanks to the DPF/EGR and all that stuff, you can buy any brand new diesel vehicle in any state and register it in California right away. You'll just have to pay an "out-of-state vehicle" tax on the registration the first year you register it in California unless it has at least 7,500 miles on it.
