Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Jokes of the Day

After reading the link about TDR in the Dodge magazine, https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33665 do you think it would be good to have a separate forum targeted to Daimler-Chrysler with the top issues we have with our trucks?

Top issues can be determined by polling the TDR members.

This could do several things:

Give DC a single place to view, eliminating having to read all the forums for relevant issues.

Identify top priority issues.

Allow them an opportunity to respond on line (negotiate a customer service advocate from DC to participate)

With the power of 10,600+ dues paying members, surely we attract enough attention to have them actively involved. That's 10,600+ people willing to pay almost $400,000 a year to be able to participate in this forum and receive the TDR magazine from a third party.

The 10,600 members represent approximately $300,000,000 worth of D-C product, not counting service potential, or add-on products. And just think of the future opportunities with the new $40,000 trucks. And us telling our friends about the great Cummins engine.

A computer vendor of our company has provided us a lab advocate that solicits input on a periodic basis for design of their new servers.

I've read so much about the steering problems, surely D-C knows it is real. This should be on the list in the D-C forum area.

What do you people think? Add your comments and suggestions.

Amen to that. They wouldn't listen to us. They've already proven countless times that they have no loyalty to their loyal customers.

Witness the continual lift pump upgrades, without an offer to recall & replace any of them.

10,000 customers is an insignificant number to them.

I'm driving this truck because it meets my needs, not because it says "Dodge" on it.

Oops, I kinda think my first post may be a little harsh. Jumbo Jet had a great idea, I really did not mean to sound like I was shooting him down. My disgust is with D-C, not Jumbo Jet. I like what he said, and the more I think about it, the more I wish it would work. But all the automakers truly are out of touch with the buying public. Why should they care though? We sit back and do nothing, while the government enacts more and more stringent (strangling?) regulations on the automakers, when we could put a stop to the nonsense... .

I beleave DC listens to it's customers as a whole. "That's an Italian word ain't it?" As an individual, we don't create much of a stir but, collectively we could create a "Dialog" forum with DC's name on it and legitimate requests or complaints may in the least raise an eyebrow. We have to keep in mind, even with our membership as large as it is, we're not the general truck buying public. We're a small percentage of diesel fans and a large percentage of us like to bomb our trucks. I'm sure DC knows we're here and we likely have some small influence in their decision making. The great majority of the diesel truck buying public knows nothing about the lift pump problems. Thiers is of course an isolated incident. It would cost a fortune to recall all of our trucks to replace the lift pumps. Then again, we could unite and bully the company into replacing them or we could picket in front of the dealerships and hurt their business until they did satisfy our demands. But then if the company suffered finacially it would be our fault because we collectively demanded that we get what we paid for. Boy does that sound familiar.

Um. . Could this be a little union promo? I think you got what you paid for Steve. Maybe not what you THINK you paid for. You need to keep your eyes open when spending your money. :D

I'm not the one complaining that I didn't get what I paid for. My eyes are wide open when I spend my money. I'm on my third Dodge Cummins. I'm happy as I can be with it and I'm not having any problems with my lift pump.

A little sarcastic humor doesn't work with some of you. I find it humorous that the word union is taboo in these forums yet so many want a group effort to accomplish things. Isn't that alittle hypocritical?

And no that's not a jab at Jumbo Jet. I think a Dialog forum would be great for getting some thoughts accross to DC. But then again, I've always known that collectively, we can accomplish more than we can alone. :D
