I have 8300 on mine now, took delivery 1-31-04 and would not change a thing. I have a slight accelleration whine in 2nd and 3rd gear and haven't decided if I will complain about it yet before I hit 36k.

I also get 17 now in mixed driving and 21 all freeway:D I still have the SRT-10 hood in it's box in my garage and am still trying to decide if I am going to put it on or not.

Were at a little over 95% happy at this point. Good news for those of us with trucks on order. Sometimes reading through these posts gives cause for concern, but it looks like most everybody likes there truck:)

Looking through threads at a competing brands enthusiasts page I wonder what kind of satisfaction percents might be found;)

Thanks for the input. If you haven't voted, do so!

I love my new Ram CTD. It's fun to drive and my wife loves riding in it. Will be getting the Line-X next week. It's a great truck.

Just ready to crack 2K miles in the first three weeks and I can't stand to drive in anothers car or truck. I volunteer for any road trip. MPGs are better now at 18. 5 @ 77mph. Rhino'd the bed, tinted the front door windows, put a Carriage Works grill in and just ordered a real upgrade, Scotty III.

I wouldn't be dumping the $ if I didn't love it.

Old grill,

Geez here I started this thread, and I'm such a computer dork that I don't have any idea how to put pictures on my post.

If you you try to educate me, don't expect too much. They are forcing me to be computer literate at work --crap

This entire truck is one phenomenol rig. For a mass produced vehicle, you can't ask for much more. Thanks DC and Cummins for a fine product.

I towed with mine for the first time yesterday. Starting with 501 miles, light load of a Polaris 500 Sportsman ATV, Kawi KLX 110, Honda Z50 on a 5'x10' utility trailer. Conifer to South Park, there wasn't a hill that could keep us from accelerating as much as I wanted. It's an awesome truck.

I love it. Idrove it straight thru from Florida to San Francisco in 3 days at about 75 mph . It was as quiet as my 2003 Sequioa and rode just about as smooth except for large bumps.

2004. 5 3500 4x4 Dually,Reg. cab SLT 6 speed Patriot blue, Yea for 600's

Pros:

Truck looks/runs/performs/rides great;

Infinity sound system sounds great. . Navigation radio is cool;

No squeaks/rattles. . truck is quiet

Good brakes

Hummin' Cummins

Cons:

Blow-by (crankcase fumes) from the draft tube drawn into the cab at a stop are enought to choke a dinosaur... something has to be done about this... DC is well aware of this problem;

Laramie cast wheels/hub caps are too plain... where's the chrome for $5K?;

Laramie Satin silver dash/door trim doesn't cut it. . where's the wood for $5k?;

Leather seats. . where's the leather?

Last but not least... FIVE months from order to delivery time... no wonder Rams are #3 on the sell list and DC is in the toilet

Where's the UConnect?

I love mine! The ride is smooth and quiet! I wish it would have come with better tires from the factory though. Hello this is a 4X4!!!!!

:) Well It's time to vote on my own poll. I have had my new truck for a couple of weeks now and here are my thoughts:

1. Very quiet compared to my old 12 v

2. Has the same old smells that remind me of my old truck when new. (takes me back 10 years in my life:D)

3. VERY powerful. This trucks jumps to speed when feathering the throttle. Flat out hauls a$$ above 2,000 rpm

4. 2nd tank 18. 04mpg hand calc:-laf

5. $900 stereo is not worth $500

6. Shudders when taking off from the line (will take to dealer this week for TSB drive line fix)

7. Very big grin factor when driving

I would also like to share my very positive experience with Rob Randolph at Serramonte Dodge in Colma CA. Very easy buying this truck from Rob at below invoice.

SO FOR ME IT IS A THUMBS UP

Thanks to all the members who have contributed to TDR as I saved money, and purchased the right truck for me based on members input---;)
