what do you want to know about the 6 speed auto? Same Auto that has been talked about for over a year. Based on the 5-45RFE that DCX currently makes. Beefed up and has another gear.

An Aisin transmission is based on the 5-48RFE? If true, did DC sub out the manufacture, or license the design?

I think that 6. 7 is down tuned for now but has a lot of room to grow. Think of how often they bump up the hp/tq on our trucks. Just my . 02

5-45RFE That is the current transmission used in the Hemi trucks. I haven't see the spec sheet. Maybe this isn't for the cab/chassis.

My typo on the 548 vs 545RFE. In the chassis cab it is only available behind the gas hemi.

The chassis cab diesel auto is stated to be a AS68RC. All its gear ratios are different from the 545 so I suspect it is Japanese grown. I doubt DC will go with a second 6 speed auto for diesel pickups (when they get around to offering more than 4 speeds).

Robert and I just left the unveiling. We're headed back to the TDR office now. I'll be writing up an article and editing video with a lot of information that you won't read anywhere else. We spent about an hour and a half talking with Dodge & Cummins engineers. Keep your eye on the front page for the article and videos later today.

Awesome Steve. Are you guys down in Atlanta with NTEA?

I definitely love the specs on this truck. I am not concerned about the HP or the auto trans myself. As someone stated on the other site the 6. 7 engine from Cummins puts out up to 375 HP and 750 lb ft of torque with the same transmission.

It's not like anyone here runs a stock truck anyway Oo.

I (and many others) run stock trucks. I don't think you can argue the durability of the truck stock vs. modified. If they would give us the 750 torque out of the box, there would be even more people staying stock. I'd say the output is VERY disappointing, not even matching GM. No need for me to upgrade trucks at this point.

220 A alt, high idler, real frame (although it is not completely straight just straight behind the cab), a HUGE cab to axle length (this is great for having a flatbed car trailer without the cars hitting your cab... or a big old flatbed... or a sleeper... you get the idea). I am happy with what they did even though I was expecting a 4500 and 19. 5's.
