Plugged Fuel Filter?

Low Sulfur Diesel

Home sick tonight with a head cold and sore throat and was reading through the 6. 7L forum and wondered:

"Would it make sense for DC to put out a 4500/5500 in 2008 or whenever with the same engine as the 2500-3500 or would it be better for them to up the power/strength of these light-medium duty trucks with a low-end medium duty engine/transmission combo"?

Wouldn't this be a better way to go? Mated to DC's automated manual or G85 manual transmission with 19. 5" wheels? A little taller, a little longer front end would be nice.

Would you be interested, or would you stay with the 6. 7 in the 4500/5500?

What would you do different on the proposed 4500/5500 over the new 3500?

Dealer called me just yesterday. Said 4500/5500 were coming out in sept as an 08 model with the 6. 7 and c/c with a much longer wheel base and beefed up suspension. Same option on drive line.

I guess it would be too good to be true for DC to "Up" the drivetrain of the 4500/5500. A 5500 with a 330hp ISC up front with a 7 speed would be sweet.

Hopfully the 5500 can be had with 4 doors and 10' - 12' from back of cab to center of rear axle. A nice 14' - 16' flatbed would fit nicely.
