Dodge Hybrid in Motor Trend

My new issue of Motor Trend has a list of all the

2005 vehicles and mentions the new "military inspired"

hybird with a 40 horse power electric motor in the

2500-3500 series coupled with the Cummins T. D.

No details were furnished other than the mention.

I seen that also, and posted on one of the related topics. I also read some where that the military had a need for just such a "Tactical" vehicle. I assume they want the ability to sneak in UN-detected by using the 40HP electrical motor mounted in-line with the power train? Would be nice Thu, big portable generator running off of the diesel engine. Batteries seem as thou the would really kill the pay load?
