I just returned from a 9 day mission trip to Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico and thought you all would be interested in the Dodges I spotted there. Hermosillo, the capital city of Sonora, is a good sized city and has alot of truck traffic.
For the first generation folks, there are many many 1 tons, Ramchargers, 1/2 ton shortbeds, and believe it or not D600's, many with twin rear axles. Of interest though are the differences from the US counterparts. The 91-93 (and later?) models have honeycomb grill inserts in the four quadrants of the front grill, unlike the US trucks, like my 93 D350, that have slotted inserts. Minor I know but an observation non the less. More sensational however are the numerous twin rear axle one ton Dodges I spotted there. Mainly from the first generation, although I did spot two 2nd generation 1 tons with this setup. Many of the D600 trucks spotted had square versus round headlights. I assume these are later models. Everything else on the D600s looked the same.
I only spotted two 2nd generation D600's and one RamCharger. 2nd generation trucks are not yet too numerous there although I did spot 1 one ton diesel and several 3rd generation 1/s tons.
I hope you find this as interesting as I did.
